Interesting facts about Steve Jobs:

I/What I found really interesting as first is the way Steve Jobs treats his first daughter Lisa.
Even though he was adopted and suffered a lot because of it, Steve Jobs still decided to
abandon his own daughter, something that I interpret as paradoxical. However, he did have
a strange relationship with her because he still went to see her sometimes but without really
accomplishing his role as a father. Moreover, they could either stop talking for a few years or
go on a trip together. For an external personal, their relationship can look very odd and
strange. In my opinion, it is related with the fact that Steve Jobs never got over the fact that
he was adopted so he wasn’t really sure about the way he should have acted as a father.

II/Another thing that I always founded interesting about him is his obsession over small
things. Steve Jobs would rather die than stop being controlling. He doesn’t even care about
what people say or think: if he has a goal, he’ll go for it whatever happens in the way. For
example, he radically changes people’s perception about the electronic with the store’s
design, the material that he used for his iPods or even the painting color of his factories.
For me, this is what makes Steve Jobs so unique even though it sometimes could have
caused him bankrupt.

III/One of the main things about Steve Jobs is that he was a college dropout. In fact, his
adoptive parents had to spend all their savings on Steve Jobs ‘college tuition. But after
spending more than 6 months there, he didn’t find any utility in college education because
he still didn’t know what job he wanted to have in his future. In my opinion, this can be told
as an inspiring story, but it stays unusual. I don’t think people should count to much on this
story because Steve Jobs just had a lot of luck with his projects. Nowadays, a lot of people
says that college education isn’t reliable because many billionaires like Jobs or Zuckerberg
dropped out of college but what we should remember is that this happens only once in a
million.

IV/What’s intriguing about Steve Jobs is that he was interested in graphic sciences, so he
invested in many companies. After a few times doing that, he decided to create the world’s
first entirely computer animated feature-length film. The Pixar project finally came to life
thanks to Jobs. For him, design was absolutely crucial, so he never hesitated to make
concessions so that his projects were well done. The very first version of the Toy Story movie
or a few Apple products show his devotion to details especially in the art sides of his goals.

V/Finally, one of the most special things about the Apple CEO is that he used to wear the
same outfits every day. In fact, just like Einstein, Steve Jobs wore the exact same style: a
black turtleneck, jeans, and sneakers. This became his signature behind every look, so he
was well known for that. This shows that Steve Jobs didn’t give any attention to superficial
things like the way he dressed because he knew that what was important was what was in
your head. And this is what makes him special because he didn’t care about looks.
Essay:

At the period where Steve Jobs started to concretize his projects, the American culture was
evolving, and it totally changed his perspective.
First of all, the capitalism culture started being present everywhere, that’s why Steve Jobs
adapted his marketing strategy. In fact, he was targeting a regular clientele by making all of
his product unique. So, in order to use correctly their Apple items, the clients had to buy all
of the others in link with it. For example, if you’d buy an iMac, you’d then buy an iPad to
have it everywhere, then a iPhone for a smaller version, etc.… All of this because he made
the Apple brand incompatible with others as Microsoft, that were his main enemy. And
because people always choose to use their products the easiest way, this strategy still works
nowadays. However, his products were in a high range of prices and Steve Jobs took a lot of
risks by justifying the price with their products ‘quality.
Secondly, the market became more and more international, so the big companies had to
expand their selves in worldwide scale. Because of that communication became key and
people that went away from their home needed useful ways to contact people. Steve Jobs
used it as a business project and created the iPhones: small devices that could the same
thing as an iMac but more practically.
Moreover, Steve Jobs work ethic sharpened itself throughout the years. He only wanted the
best employees for his company so that he would be sure that their productivity would be
the highest on the technologic market. Steve Jobs hired people that would risk everything
for the brand. And that made the employees feel like they were part of the “Apple
community”, this feeling appeared being one of the main motivations for them.
The world’s vision of liberties also evolved a lot because of the vivid memories of the past
wars. This made Steve Jobs feel close to Zen beliefs, and it influenced a lot of his moral
values at work like in the way he acted or thought, as the Apple slogan: “think different”.
To conclude, Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs had the genius to use the changing world’s pillars to
strengthen his company. Those opportunities made him build a multi-billion wort company
that is today known across the world for their creativity and value.
