We develop your project, from the first sketches and definition of the
Architecture, to the completion of procedures before the authorities to
obtain permits, generating coordination of the different specialties
involved in the design, supervision of the construction works and final
delivery.
In addition to carrying out the design of new works, we also carry out
the regularization before municipal authorities of existing industrial
buildings. For this type of project we have a complete staff of support
specialists for the different procedures involved in this type of project.

3.5 Infrastructure: The company has its central office in the city of
Antofagasta; given its constant growth, it has required the obligation
to expand its offices. For this reason, it has made an investment for
the well-being of its employees and the development of its future
challenges, acquiring new offices located at Calle José Blümell N°
023, Villa Playa Blanca, Antofagasta.
The practice was carried out in the Lomas Bayas mining complex,
located northeast of the city of Baquedano, II region. The company

“Del Pino Ingeniero” has a current contract with the mining company
(Contract No.: LB-AC-GAD-SCT-1611P), as a provider of
topographical and Geomeasurement services, reporting directly to the
“Project Management and Engineering Superintendence”, the position
held during the internship was as a builder.
The tasks carried out during this time were the following:
Cabinet: All the data obtained during the surveys were sent to our
direct boss of the mining company, who was in charge of carrying out
the post-process, and in turn, was also in charge of providing us with
the necessary data to carry out the stakeouts. The only cabinet
carried out directly by “Del Pino Ingenieros” is the post-processing of
the Scanner data, due to its volume, a higher power equipment is
necessary, which is located in the Antofagasta offices.

At the same time, I believe that the greatest difficulty that arose was
facing topographical equipment, different from those used at the
12
institute. Although the basis is the same for all the equipment, its
interface changes depending on the brand. Therefore, you have to
become familiar with the instruments before doing any work. After a
period of adaptation, you will be able to gain the necessary confidence
to handle them without any problem. It is essential during this time of
adaptation to have a person to serve as a guide, in my case it was my
superior, who with the best disposition was resolving any questions
that arose.
Carrying out the practice was the culminating moment of this training
process that began more than two years ago. In it, I was able to test
the theoretical knowledge that I had, as well as detect the fields in
which it presented shortcomings. During its development, I was able
to give myself He says that in reality I had been prepared enough to
perform, one of the main fears I had was that I would not have been
qualified enough to work, since I had no previous experience in
surveying. I think that an important factor was that my superior in
charge was available at all times to provide the information I
requested, as well as clarify any doubts that arose, in addition to
giving me the necessary advice for the work, which is not learned until
one is already working.
highlight is the carrying out of field trips, which really offer one of the
best opportunities to acquire knowledge, since many times on paper,
the topics discussed are not well understood or it is difficult to imagine
them in real life, It is a point that should perhaps be increased, and
take the place of subjects that perhaps do not contribute much. The
renewal of the instruments was the most significant change within the
process, as it gave a plus to our training, since the old material
presented calibration problems, obsolescence, damage, or were
simply damaged, so at this point, During the first year, the possibility
of acquiring more experience was reduced.
Finally, for the institution, review the duration of the courses, eliminate
subjects, and replace them with those that really contribute to job
development.
