DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING

VISION
To produce exemplary computer engineers by offering quality technical education to rural students for developing
the society
MISSION
1. To Create a center of excellence in computer education to meet the industrial needs.
2. To Sharpen the skills of students to survive in the competitive technological world.
3. To Enlighten the students to become socially responsive computer engineers.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO)

1. Gain the ability to analyze and solve computer science and engineering problems through application of fundamental
knowledge of mathematics and algorithms. (GOAL)
2. Exposure to emerge the cutting edge technologies, adequate training to lead and work in their profession with
multidisciplinary approach, cooperative attitude, effective communication and interpersonal skills.
(UNDERSTANDING & LEADERSHIP)
3. Prepare the students for their successful career and work with values and social concern to meet the requirements of
Indian and multinational companies. (ETHICS & MULTIDIMENTIONAL SCOPE)
4. Able to analyze, understand, design and provide novel engineering solutions for computing domain. (SKILL)
5. Prepare the students for a successful career and enable them to work with values, social concern and awareness for
the life-long learning and introduce them to professional ethics and codes of professional practice. (ETHICS)

PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES:

1. Ability to understand the principles and working of computer systems. Students can assess the hardware and
software aspects of computer systems.
2. Ability to apply the software design and development concepts, methodologies and techniques to work in the
industries.
3. Ability to use knowledge in various domains to identify research gaps and hence to provide solution to new
ideas and innovations.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES:

1. Engineering Knowledge: Able to apply knowledge of computing and mathematics appropriate to the
discipline.
2. Problem Analysis: Have the knowledge and skill to identify, formulate and solve hardware and software
problems using sound computer science principles.
3. Design/Development of solutions: Able to design, implement, evaluate computer based systems, processes,
components or programs to meet the desired needs.
4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Able to conduct investigations of broadly defined problems;
locate, search and select relevant data from codes, databases and literature; design and conduct experiments to
provide valid conclusions.
5. Modern Tool Usage: Able to use the techniques, skills and modern engineering IT tools including
applications, simulations and modeling to broadly defined engineering activities.
6. The engineer and society: Able to design a computer system with components and processes of desired
needs within realistic constraints such as environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety.
7. Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic,
environmental and social contexts.
8. Ethics: Realize professional and ethical responsibilities and act in accordance to social welfare.
9. Individual and team work: Have self-confidence to work individually and also effectively with teams.
10. Communication: Able to communicate effectively the engineering solutions to clients/ users or peers.
11. Project Management and Finance: Develop project management techniques to work in team for
successful reach of information to the end users.
