Subject: IMPLEMENTATION OF AFTERNOON SYNCHRONOUS ONLINE
LEARNING FOR ALL LECTURE CLASSES ON MAY 06 – 10, 2024
In accordance with the advisory issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and
Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) regarding the elevated heat index in
various parts of the country, including Tuguegarao City, the university will be implementing
adjustments to class schedules from May 6 to May 10.
1. All lecture classes, for students at all levels, will be conducted through synchronous
online learning in the afternoon. This entails face-to-face classes from 7:30 AM to
12:00 PM, followed by online classes from 1:00 PM onwards, adhering to the regular
schedule. Students are required to remain at home while attending online classes and
are prohibited from accessing the campus. Attendance for online classes will be
monitored. We encourage everyone to ensure stable internet connections and to
prepare learning materials in advance.
2. Laboratory classes for college students will continue to be conducted on-site. No
Physical Education Classes may conducted face-to-face. Students may choose to
attend classes at the school for access to internet facilities.
3. Students involved in RLE (Related Learning Experience) and other professional
exposure programs are advised that these programs will proceed as scheduled. Please
adhere to the guidelines and schedules provided by respective RLE/OJT coordinators.
4. Faculty members are reminded to adhere to their class schedules and are required to
record all synchronous classes.
5. Office personnel should note that all office transactions will continue as usual.
Therefore, all staff members must report according to their office schedules.
It is advised to take necessary precautions against the heat by carrying an umbrella and a
water- filled tumbler when going outdoors. Everyone is encouraged to promptly report any
signs of heat exhaustion, such as headaches, dizziness, confusion, thirst, muscle cramps, and
elevated body temperature, to the university clinic. These measures are implemented to
ensure the safety and well-being of all. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation
during these challenging circumstances.

Subject: INCREASING HEAT INDEX
Given the prevailing high heat index, the University of Saint Louis is implementing the
following measures with immediate effect:
1. Temporary suspension of the mandatory school uniform policy. Instead, individuals are
advised to wear the approved College Shirt on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and
the Organizational Shirt on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, paired with comfortable
pants excluding ripped jeans.
2. Inspection of all ceiling fans to ensure they are functioning properly.
3. Suspension of physical activities such as Physical Education classes, ball games, and
similar events between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
4. Installation of water dispensers at strategic locations across the campus. All individuals
are encouraged to bring their tumblers for hydration purposes.
