BHS Maduya
These Barangay Health Stations will serve as the basic and first hand health facility in the
barangays, it was open Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Services includes Out Patient
Checkup daily, Family Planning Consultation, Immunization for children every Wednesday,
Prenatal Check Up every Friday and Nutritional Assessment daily. Barangay Health Station
includes Barangay Midwife, Nurse, Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) and Family Health Workers
(FHWs).
Target Population included 6 weeks of old up to 1 year of age, immunization for children
includes BCG, Hepa B Vaccine, DPT-Hib-HepB (Penta) Vaccine, Oral Polio Vaccine, Pneumococcal
Vaccine, Inactive Polio Vaccine, and Measles Containing Vaccine. Fully Immunized Child is when
the child completed complete dose of each vaccine before reaching 1 year of age and 28 days.
Maternal and child care includes caring for pregnant mother and children health. Pre
Natal care includes monthly check up with Tetanus toxoid, Deworming, Prenatal Vitamins and
Checkup. A pregnant women should follow monthly schedule of checkup following LMP and
EDC.
Family Planning is part of health services offer at Barangay Health Station Maduya, for
mother after delivery may have consultation daily. Family Planning includes, Use of Condom,
Pills, DMPA as artificial FP. BTL and NSV for permanent FP, and LAM commonly used as natural
FP. Family Planning used as pregnancy spacing and planning specially for early age pregnancy.
Health Education and Promotion is also part of services given at Barangay Health Station
Maduya. Health Education for mother specially for pregnant and with new born are the priority
for health education.
