opportunity to complete this internship program successfully. I would like to
express my sincere gratitude to “Hll Lifecare Limited” for providing me with
this valuable learning experience.
I am particularly thankful to my company guide, Mr. Unnikrishnan V, Deputy
Manager Finance, for his invaluable guidance and support throughout the
internship. His insights, expertise, and willingness to share knowledge were
instrumental in my learning and development.
I would also like to thank all the staffs of Hll Lifecare Ltd, Peroorkada factory
and also the staff at Hll Management Academy (HMA) for giving me
permission and helping me in all way for doing my internship study.
I would also like to extend my gratitude to my faculty guide Dr. Smitha Nair at
amrita school of business, Kochi campus, for their guidance and support during
the internship program. Their feedback and encouragement helped me shape the
direction of my research and complete the project successfully.
This internship experience has been a valuable learning opportunity for me. I am
grateful for the opportunity to have worked with such a supportive team and to
have gained practical experience in the field.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This project aims to analyze the working capital management practices at HLL
Lifecare Limited’s Peroorkada Plant focusing on evaluating the efficiency of
managing current assets and liabilities, computing key working capital ratios, and
predicting future working capital requirements using business analytics
techniques. HLL Lifecare Limited (HLL) is a prominent manufacturer of
healthcare products, and the Peroorkada plant is a vital facility specializing in
contraceptives, hospital supplies, pharmaceuticals, and diagnostic kits. This study
employs quantitative methods using primary data from financial statements with
key working capital ratios computed and predictive analytics used for forecasting.
The research tools include Microsoft Excel and Python.

Key findings indicate improved liquidity, efficient cash management, enhanced


operational efficiency, and stable collection and payment processes at the
Peroorkada plant. Recommendations for maintaining and further improving
working capital management include monitoring and enhancing liquidity ratios,
maintaining efficient cash management practices, regularly reviewing inventory
levels, improving receivables collection processes, and negotiating better
payment terms with suppliers. The analysis demonstrates that HLL Lifecare
Limited's Peroorkada plant has significantly improved its working capital
management over the years. The use of historical data and scenario analysis
provides a robust framework for forecasting future working capital needs, helping
the company prepare for various potential outcomes and ensuring the financial
health and operational efficiency of the plant.
