Go Go Loser Ranger

Go Go Loser Ranger
protectors, known as the Dragon Keepers, defeated them in a single year just when
all hope seemed lost! Every Sunday since, the monsters have been forced to act out
humiliating defeat after defeat in front of the unsuspecting public, courtesy of
the dragon keepers who made the smartest business move to monetize their violence.
The story begins as a gigantic fortress floating ten thousand meters above ground
appears out of nowhere. It's appearance marks the beginning of the never-ending war
between humans and monsters. It's been thirteen years since the battle began, and
the weekly Sunday showdown continues to draw a huge crowd from all over the
country. On his way into the stadium we're met with our main pro-tagonist, Sentoin
D, who's approached by two enthusiastic Ranger force interns before he can even get
to the stands. They warn him of the risks regarding spectating the battle, and
assure D that they will do their very best to ensure his safety. D gives a little
smirk, and smugly remarks how it's no risk for him, and there hasn't been any
civilian casualties in years anyway..
The girl states that it's just part of their protocol to say that, and in a
patronizing manor, D says how admirable it is for people as young as them to
already be a part of the ranger force. The orange haired guy immediately tries
persuading D to try out for the ranger force, and the girl says it's not really
that hard. After they show him to the stands and Sentoin D proceeds up the steps.
After a while the event begins as a black cloud of dust shaped like a corkscrew
comes crashing into the middle of the stadium faster than a torpedo. Emerging from
the clouds of dust are the Dusters, ready to fight along with their secret weapon.
The peasants in the crowd are ready for their weekly dose of violence, throwing
cans and insulting the monsters who get humiliated week after week. After a few
moments, the red ranger appears with a devious grin on his face. He goes on to say
some cheesy cliché BS about saving humanity which he probably repeats every fucking
week, and with thatt the Dragon Keepers are ready to annihilate the monsters.
The mindless brokeys in the crowd cheer for their favourite Keeper as they stand on
the podium, and the monster that the dusters brought as a secret weapon begins
making a grand speech. He reveals that he's a monster from all the collective
grudges of the tigers in this world, so for starters he'll turn all animals tiger-
striped and wreak havoc on all surface-dwellers. Turning everything tiger striped
may sound silly, but he is a powerful monster so he gets offended by the crowds
reaction and commands the dusters to show them hell. Just when a duster was about
to slay a woman and her child, Yumeko appears to save them. The two interns are
tasked with protecting all the spectators to prevent any potential law suits, and
while Yumeko fights, Sakurama brings them to safety. As the interns provide some
crowd control, the Dragon Keepers take on the tiger monster as it unleashes a
brutal attack making them fly all the way back.
The tiger monster taunts the Dragon Keepers, and the red keeper remarks how this
monster is stronger than any other they've fought before. Just then, The green
keeper unearths a giant rock and launches it directly at the tiger monster, however
it's not long before the ground begins to shake and the beast emerges splitting the
rock into pieces. The crowd are in shock of how strong this monster is as they've
never seen anything like it, and just then the Tiger god declares that he will
never die because he is immortal. transforming into the deadliest being known to
anime. Truck-kun. As truck-kun aims for the dragon keepers at unforgiving
velocities, the Red Keeper calls for them to scrum, and linked arm in arm they
charge towards the tiger god. Obviously the dragon keepers haven't watched much
anime because they get absolutely fucked up by Truck-Kun upon impact. The tiger god
lets out a mighty roar and the crowd seriously begin doubting the Dragon Keepers as
it looks like their getting beat for the first time.
Eventually the dragon keepers rise up from their slumber and declare as long as
their protection is needed, they will get back on their feet no matter how many
times. On the other hand the dusters regroup with the tiger god, and it is at this
moment we discover this is all scripted, as the dusters begin predicting what
cringe ending it will be this time. One of the Duster's says he's looking forward
to the Tiger God's loser speech, but at that moment his dumb-ass realizes he forgot
to prepare one. The Dusters act frantic as the script plays out and the Dragon
Keepers prepare to obliterate them. However in a twist of events, one of the
Dusters with the letter D on his shoulder says he's sick of putting up with this
act and steps out of line. The others beg him not to go, but he doesn't listen fed
up with this pretense and walks into the blast.
After we get a flashback to an hour before the show started, and the Dusters were
up in their fortress panicking because they couldn't think of any good ideas for
this weeks showdown. They have to come up with new ideas every single week, with
new monsters, so it's getting incredibly hard and stressful for them especially as
they've been doing this for thirteen years. Furthermore, all of their bosses were
wiped out when the floating fortress fell, and they're only Dusters, which are
basically just the foot-soldiers. After struggling to come up with a monster,
Fighter D chilling in the corner came up with the tiger god, as they haven't done
anything like it and it's savage enough to be seen as a powerful and scary
opponent. However, the rest of them are still certain they will lose regardless of
what they do. Fighter D becomes infuriated as it seems his fellow dusters have
given up on trying to win all together, and basically tells them to stop being a
bunch of pussy's because they're monsters, and no matter what they can't give up
hope that one day they will win against the dragon keepers.
However his words fall on deaf ears as the rest of the Dusters believe they stand
no chance against the superhumans. The Rangers made a truce with the Dusters that
they would make a great show of fighting each other every Sunday to entertain the
civilians. But this arrangement was more of a one sided one, as even though the
Dusters are immortal, they are no match for Earth’s mightiest heroes. Which is why
they have recorded zero victories in their scripted battles so far.
However, Fighter D believes they can do the impossible and win. Which is why when
the group of Dusters travel to the arena for the fight, he sneaks along with them.
He does not voluntarily incinerate like his fellow creatures when the Dragon
Blaster hits them, but instead charges at the Rangers, intent upon causing some
real damage.
Unfortunately, this does not go to plan as the Red Keeper reduces him to ashes with
a single strike and he is forced to reconstruct on the roof of the arena where
nobody would catch sight of him. But instead of returning to the fortress, he takes
the shape of a human which coincidentally is the same one he took on the way to the
arena where he met the two members of the Ranger Force.
The girl whose hand he accidentally touched was named Suzukiri and she walks in on
him looking over the city. He informs her that he is ready to join the Ranger
Force, much to her delight.
The Dusters are immortal, but they can be killed by a Divine Weapon that is only in
possession of the Dragon Keepers. Which is how they defeated the bosses of the
Dusters thirteen years ago.
Fighter D’s plan to infiltrate the Ranger Force appears to be going smoothly as he
has successfully entered the academy and is now running laps along with the rest of
the applicants. His mission is clear: take down the Dragon Keepers by any means
necessary, even if it means fitting in with these pathetic humans.
Once training is over, D visits the reception desk and asks the lady there for any
details on the whereabouts of the Keepers. She is of no help whatsoever and the
monster is about to lose hope when the guy who first introduced him to the Ranger
Force suddenly shows up. His name is Sakurama and he is clearly delighted that D
has supposedly decided to join the force. They are soon joined by Suzukiri who
proposes that they should go out together for lunch.
Meanwhile, the Dragon Keepers pay a visit to the floating fortress inhabited by the
monsters. Although the Red Keeper’s attitude seems to be calm, there is a
threatening undertone that makes the Dusters anxious. He mentions how D betrayed
them and almost blew their cover in front of the entire crowd, and wants to make
sure that the rest of his kind were not in on his plan. Obviously, the Dusters
reply in the negative, but this does not seem to be enough as the Red Keeper then
announces that two guards would be stationed in the Fortress to avoid any future
problems taking place.
This results in an outcry as most of the creatures consider this a breach of their
privacy. However, the protests die down when the Blue Keeper beheads one of the
Dusters and the Red Keeper punches a hole through their fortress, to showcase his
strength. D’s friend, F, silently observes this spectacle and wonders if his
comrade’s words of defiance against the Keepers might actually be true.
Back in the city, D is attempting to eat a steak for the very first time. Suzukiri
chooses to ignore his weird eating style and explains that the Keepers usually stay
at their garrisons that are spread out across the city. Sakurama follows it up by
mentioning how defeating the monsters is not the only responsibility held by the
Ranger Force, as they also help the police and partake in community service.
Suddenly their dinner is interrupted by a group of fans who wish to take pictures
with Sakurama and Suzukiri, and they even receive free food from the chef himself!
D is filled with disdain as he watches how the two members are treated with the
utmost respect, for a series of fights that has been rigged for the last thirteen
years. However, he has no choice, but to work with them to reach the Dragon
Keepers.
After finishing up, Suzukiri discloses that she has to visit the garrison owned by
the Red Keeper, to deliver a letter and asks Sakurama to accompany her, but he
refuses. When the two have left, D transforms himself to Sakurama and catches up
with the girl, since this would prove to be his ticket into the Red Keeper’s
residence.
He has hidden a knife in his satchel which he hopes will be enough to finish off
the Red Keeper. However, when he enters the garrison, he realises that he has never
seen the leader without his mask and all of the lower Rangers are wearing the same
uniform. A senior present there named Tokita tries to bully D, but Suzukiri defends
him. They then hand the letter to the senior and are about to exit the compound
when they run into none other than the Red Keeper. He is barely recognizable
without his mask and D even finds out that his real name is Sousei Akabane. The
monster can barely move as he realises that this is his opportunity to take
revenge, but before he can do anything rash, Suzukiri comes to his rescue once
again as she drags him away with the excuse that he is just a huge fanboy.
Once outside the garrison, she forces him to take out the knife in his satchel and
before D can react, she slashes his throat. Obviously, his body simply regenerates,
but he is shocked that she knew he was a monster all this time. Suzukiri then draws
closer to him and placing the knife on his throat, she informs him that she wishes
to work together with him and bring down the Ranger Force as well. Just as D is
processing this new development, Sakurama suddenly shows up and announces that a
monster has broken free of the Fortress and all the members are being summoned to
the location.
Worried about his friend, Fighter F has done something that no monster has done in
the past thirteen years: teleport to the city on any other day except Sunday. D
rushes to the spot and instantly recognizes his friend, but before he can
intervene, the Red Keeper shows up. He announces that he has had enough problems
from the Dusters and wishes to send a statement to the monsters once and for all.
He reveals the Divine Weapon and launches a missile-like attack at F which takes
the shape of a group of golden Dragons. An enormous explosion confirms D’s deepest
fears: his friend is no more. This fills him with even more rage against the
Rangers as his intent to bring them down has now reached its maximum limit.
Overcome with emotion, D walks away from the scene of his friend’s death, but is
followed by Sakurama. The Ranger expresses his condolences to D and tells him to
put an end to any of his evil schemes involving the humans. When the monster shows
his surprise, Sakurama reveals that he heard his conversation with Suzukiri and
suggests an alternate route: a society where humans and monsters can coexist in
peace.
D scoffs at the very idea and informs the boy that the two of them are enemies and
that is the way it shall stay for the foreseeable future. He then transforms into
ash and disappears. Bro is literally me in every social gathering.
Later on in the day, D meets with Suzukiri in a cafe to discuss their plan of
action. The monster states clearly that they are not a team and that he is just
using the girl to learn how to defeat the Dragon Keepers. However, Suzukiri is much
smarter than he expected and she threatens to expose his true monster nature in
front of everyone present in the cafe. So obviously, he has no choice, but to work
together with her.
She explains that the secret to defeating the Keepers lies in their Divine
Artefacts. Five of these exist, each for one of the Keepers which they use to
transform into their superhuman selves. Once they have a hold of them, it will be
much easier to take down the entire Ranger Force, which relies heavily on its five
strongest members. It appears that Suzukiri has been planning this for quite some
time as she then suggests that the best time to steal these weapons would be on
Sunday, when the Keepers are busy fighting a fake fight in the arena.
The day of the heist finally arrives and our two protagonists wait outside the Red
Keeper’s garrison while D transforms himself into Sousei Akabane. This ability
truly is powerful as within a matter of minutes, he looks like the spitting copy of
the Red Keeper. He then enters the garrison, with an earpiece through which
Suzukiri is giving him instructions constantly.
Everything goes to plan as all of the Rangers on security are easily fooled and
even salute the fake Sousei Akabane. The first obstacle reveals itself in the form
of Tokita who is stationed right outside the room where the Divine Artefacts are
stored. However, D has had some experience with human conversation and he manages
to come up with an excuse that he needs to transform into his Keeper version with
the artefact. There is a moment of awkward silence, but Tokita then lets him
through.
Once inside the room, our protagonist is shocked that Akabane has just left his
Divine Artefact out in the open without any protection. Just as he is about to
escape, Tokita enters the room and shoots him down while announcing that he knew
that the monster smelled different. Totally not creepy.
Obviously, the Ranger’s gun does no damage to the monster who just keeps
regenerating and this appears to frustrate Tokita even more. Taking the Divine
Artefact in his hand, he announces that he is going to put an end to D once and for
all. However, before he can do anything, D reveals sticks of dynamite that seem to
be enough to blow up the entire room. They would not hurt the monster, but the
explosion would definitely be enough to grant Tokito a one way ticket to the
afterlife.
The Ranger begins to panic and slowly places the artefact on the ground. This is
just the opportunity our protagonist was looking for as he charges at Tokito and
knocks him out with two powerful strikes to the head.
As he escapes through the vents with the artefact, Suzukiri praises D for his
combat skills, but the monster is in no mood for appreciation as he realises that
there is no going back now.
As if stuff could not get any worse, D opens the vent exit to reveal none other
than the Red Keeper waiting for him on the other side. You got to give it to our
protagonist, he really does have a pair of balls, as he then faces off against the
leader of the Dragon Keepers without a moment of hesitation.
The Red Keeper easily dodges D’s strikes with the Divine Artefact and sends the
monster crashing into a water tank with only a single punch. Not only that, he even
smashes the water tank with only a pipe when D launches it at him.
However, D is as determined as ever and gets back to his feet and calls out Red to
use the entire extent of his power. The Keeper laughs and says that he is only
waiting for the camera crew to arrive so that his victory would be broadcasted
throughout the city. As if on cue, a helicopter shows up with a camera man
documenting the entire scene. To make matters even worse, the rest of the four
Keepers also show up.
It is evident that they do not take D as a real opponent as they begin to discuss
how to make the fight even more interesting for their viewers. They suggest that D
could be taken captive instead of killing him on the spot, but the monster refuses
this idea immediately. Realising that D is stubborn, Red Keeper gives Blue Keeper
the signal to reveal his Divine Artefact and put an end to this sorry excuse of a
battle.
D meets the energy beam from the weapon head on and it inflates him till he is the
size of an enormous balloon. Past memories of his friends play through his mind
during his final moments and he is finally put out of his misery by a snap from the
Blue Keeper which explodes him. F in the chats for our fallen soldier.
D’s death is not all in vain as Red Keeper soon finds out when he tries picking up
his Ancient Artefact and it deforms into ash. D had managed to fool Red by
transforming his arm into the weapon right before he passed away.
In another corner of the city, Suzukiri analyses Red Keeper’s artefact that is
placed before her. She silently appreciates D’s heroics and reminds herself that
four weapons are still remaining.
The Dragon Keepers call an emergency meeting in the form of a ‘Sacred Banquet’
where every Keeper and their First Rank are present. The last to arrive at the
meeting is Suzukiri who is Yellow Keeper’s First Rank. Blue Keeper, who is
evidently the bad-tempered one of the lot, points out how late she is and that she
should apologise. Suzukiri is about to argue, but when the leader of the Rangers,
Red Keeper, agrees with him, the girl does so.
Just as they are about to dig into their meals, Red Keeper reveals that his Ancient
Artefact has been stolen by the Duster who they fought a few days prior. The rest
of the Keepers are shocked when they learn this news and begin suggesting counter
measures and how to track down the weapon. However, Red’s First Rank calls him out
for his carelessness and demands that he should take responsibility for his mistake
and stand down as the leader of the Rangers.
The room goes silent as they all look at Red Keeper for his reaction. With a smirk,
he gets to his feet and agrees that such a mistake should warrant his immediate
dismissal and that the First Rank should take his place. The boy begins stuttering
how thankful he is for this opportunity before Red Keeper suddenly smashes him into
the wall. The smile has not left his face as he says that only someone stronger
than him can take his place and clearly, the boy is no match. He then finishes him
off with three loud strikes that can be heard throughout the building. Although he
is covered in blood, the Red Keeper takes his seat and continues eating as if
nothing has happened. Bro definitely needs therapy.
Later that day, Blue Keeper sends a member of his force named Hekiru to track down
D if he is still alive. In the meantime, he would be visiting the floating fortress
on his own in case the monster returned to his old home.
At first, D refuses help from the human, but since he could tell the boy has good
intentions, he takes his advice. He moves a portion of his hand to his stomach
which fills up the hole and eases the pain for the time being. Sakurama cannot help
but watch the monster’s ability with interest and mentions how amazing it is. Not
used to praise, D begins showing the different ways his body can transform almost
as if he is running a show.
He suddenly remembers that humans are his enemy and shuts off again. The boy senses
the change in his attitude and reveals that he wishes to learn more about the
monster.
Sakurama then reveals his backstory, of how he grew up with loving parents who
taught him such a clear concept of justice. How his father immediately rejected the
Keepers when they first showed up and never allowed him to watch their shows either
due to their violent nature. The turning point for the boy was when his parents
were killed by a monster attack and how all his morals and ideals came crashing
down when he saw their lifeless bodies.
Which is why the only way he thought he could spread justice was by joining the
Ranger Force. This dream proved to be false as well when he got into the higher
ranks and found out what a huge fluke the entire organisation is. So now his new
mission is to restart the Ranger Force with a new meaning: to co-exist with
monsters instead of fighting with them.
D is still not convinced, but before they can argue further Hekiru is heard nearby.
D is healing so Sakurama leaves the cave and leads the boy away from where the
monster is hiding. Hekiru soon realises that he is being led astray and is about to
attack Sakurama before D suddenly appears and attacks the Ranger who then reveals a
replica of the Ancient Artefact. Although it is just a copy, it is enough to slay
the monster permanently.
Hearing this, D runs like the dogs of hell are behind him, but Hekiru manages to
track him down once again and a battle takes place between the two. Just when it
seems the Ranger might have the upper hand, Sakurama comes to the monster’s aid. It
is against the law to kill a fellow Ranger so Hekiru drops his weapon. Another
twist in the story as Sakurama then takes the Ancient Artefact in his hand and
slices off D’s head, whose body then falls off the cliff.
What Hekiru does not know is that D had taken on Sakurama’s appearance while the
boy was wearing a mask made of D’s regeneration material. So when he thanks
Sakurama and takes him back to the Ranger Headquarters, he is actually helping the
monster that his entire organisation loathes. Meanwhile, Sakurama is completely
fine and actually happy that he has finally managed to reach a mutual agreement
with D to help each other.
