COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE

Pointer should remain in the center (White) band. If gauge
registers at the "H" end, stop vehicle immediately and let engine
cool. Check engine coolant level.
OIL PRESSURE GAUGE
Pointer should remain in the White range. If gauge registers
too high or too low and will not increase when the engine speed is
increased, stop the vehicle immediately, and check the oil level after
approximately 5 minutes. If oil level is normal, have lubricating
system serviced as soon as possible.

OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT

If light glows during operation, oil level is low or there is
low oil pressure. If this occurs, stop the vehicle immediately and
check oil level. If oil level is normal, have the lubricating system
serviced as soon as possible.

ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT

Light is designed to monitor the readiness of the anti-lock
or rear anti-lock feature on vehicles equipped with the optional anti-
lock brake system. Light will come on briefly as a bulb check when the
engine is started. If light does not come on initially, or stays on
during vehicle operation, have the system serviced.

UPSHIFT INDICATOR (M/T ONLY)

Upshift indicator ("U/S") light will come on to indicate that
you can get better fuel economy by shifting to the next higher gear.
Best fuel economy can be achieved by accelerating slowly and shifting
to the next higher gear when the "U/S" light comes on.

4WD INDICATOR
Light is illuminated when transfer lever is set in the 4H or
4L position.

CHARGING SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT

Light indicates a problem with the electrical charging
system. If light comes on while driving, stop vehicle and check
alternator belt. If belt has proper tension and light remains on, have
system serviced as soon as possible.

"BRAKE" WARNING LIGHT

If this light comes on while driving, it indicates that
either the parking brake is on or the brake fluid level is low. This
light may also indicate a critically low vacuum level on diesel-
powered vehicles.

"CHECK ENGINE" WARNING LIGHT (GASOLINE ENGINES ONLY)

If light comes on and remains on while driving, it indicates
a possible malfunction in the engine emission system. Have the system
serviced as soon as possible.

CHECK TRANS OR A/T OIL TEMP WARNING LIGHT

Indicator should illuminate briefly as a bulb check when
ignition key is turned to ON position. If light comes on during
vehicle operation, automatic transmission fluid temperature is too
high. Stop vehicle and put selector lever in Park position. With
engine idling, wait until light goes off to continue driving. If light
does not go off, have system serviced as soon as possible.

OXYGEN SENSOR INDICATOR (2.6L ENGINE ONLY)

If light comes on and remains on while driving, it indicates
that the oxygen sensor is in need of replacement.

FUEL FILTER WARNING LIGHT (DIESEL ENGINES ONLY)

Indicates the need to drain the water separator. If light
comes on and remains on while driving, drain the water separator
immediately.
