JUNGLE CAMP OPEN HOUSE AT ETHNOS CANADA

You’re invited — Jungle Camp Open House at Ethnos Canada, Saturday, July 6th, 9am–5pm 3 13363
HWY 6 S, Durham, RSVP: ethnos.ca/campus-open-house
Not everyone knows what "Jungle Camp" is. Those training to be cross-cultural church planters with
Ethnos Canada have a 6-week practicum during the summer. They spend two weeks building a
house in the bush, have one day to move in a month's worth of supplies, then have to live in these
shelters they have built for the next month. This practicum helps teach teamwork, planning and
adaptability, as well as how to deal with inter-personal issues, stress and isolation.
A couple years back, Heidi B. brought her
kids to an open house and wrote, "Our
family had a wonderful time at the Jungle
Camp Open House! We enjoyed the
activities and the wonderful grounds at
Ethnos in Durham. However, most of all,
we were impacted by meeting the
missionary candidates themselves, seeing
their commitment to sharing the gospel
around the world, and being reminded that
we are all 'goers' or 'senders'."
Here is a photo from a previous summer.
If this interests you, please plan to come for the morning and stay for lunch, or come for lunch, and
stay for the afternoon. This is a perfect event to bring your youth group to as well. Many families
wanting to bring the gospel to unreached people groups don’t know where to start. God is using
Ethnos’ 80+ years of specialized experience to prepare missionaries to thrive as cross-cultural church
planters. Come visit the missionary candidates in this year’s “Jungle Camp” practicum. Plan to enjoy
the BBQ lunch fundraiser — the profits will go to help with field trips for the K-12 school on the Ethnos
Campus for staff and student kids.
More information is available at https://ethnos.ca/campus-open-house/ If you plan on coming, please
remember to RSVP so that if we have to change the plan, we can let you know.

ANGLICANS, PRESBYTERIANS, AND UNITED CHURCH TO SHARE NATIONAL

OFFICE SPACE IN TORONTO
It’s official! The United, Anglican, and
Presbyterian churches have signed leases
to share national office space at the
redeveloped site of Bloor Street United
Church at 300 Bloor St. West. in Toronto.
The agreement reflects the churches’
ongoing commitment to nurturing
ecumenical relationships and cooperation,
to reducing costs, and to lessening their
carbon footprint.
The Venerable Alan Perry, General Secretary of the Anglican Church of Canada; the
Reverend Victor Kim, Principal Clerk at The Presbyterian Church in Canada, and the
Reverend. Michael Blair, General Secretary of The United Church of Canada, met at
the construction site to see the progress of the project and to offer prayers of
blessing for the safety and wellbeing of the construction workers.
