MLS ESPORTS Tryout

General rules and Guidelines

All tryouts will be conducted ONLINE ONLY.


MUST HAVE THEIR OWN DEVICE (PC/PHONE)

TIME: TBA. mostly will be conducted in the evening.


WHERE: ONLINE

ELIGIBILITY
● Players must be currently enrolled students or waiting for graduation.
● Players must adhere to the school's code of conduct.
● A player can only join one team in eSports games.
● Must have discord for communication in-game.
● Assigned team captains will screenshot the match results after the match.

CONDUCT
● Players are expected to conduct themselves and compete with the spirit of
sportsmanship, maintaining a friendly and polite demeanor in activities involving other
participants and the public in general.

● The organizer has the right to apply penalties, disqualify and dismiss any registered
player from the tournament, at their discretion, at any stage of the tournament.

● Cheating doesn’t need to be successful to qualify as a violation. Conspiring to cheat is


already a violation and will lead to an automatic disqualification for all conspirators.
Examples of cheating includes, but are not limited to:

• Ghosting
• Account Sharing
• Piloting

● Teams will be asked to act gracefully when the game is streamed, STRICTLY NO trash
talks/vulgar words, IN-GAME taunting or spamming (stickers, wheel-chat, teabag) is
ALLOWED. Any dispute should be directed to the tournament admins directly for any
issues. Any teams that are found not following this rule with concrete proof will be
disqualified immediately regardless of if the game is streamed or not.

● • Players / teams must be responsible for each member’s actions. Any member within a
team that violates the player’s conduct will be disqualified from entering further qualifiers
and the current qualifier that the teams is participating in.
● • Players must be able to commit to the time / schedule mentioned in the tournament
platform and may not agree to a time that both teams are suitable to be playing at.
● • Players may not use force outside the game to influence the outcome of the game.
Severe punishments such as disqualification will be imposed and will also be banned
from further tournaments run by the organizers.
● • Betting is strictly forbidden between teams and will not be tolerated.
● • Agreeing on losing on purpose will also be considered as a disqualification act if found
out by the organizers.
● • Teams are advised to be humble and to be strict with each other on enforcing these
rules for smooth flow of the tournament.

● Any problems encountered while in-game such as power-interruption,


internet-interruption will be given the player at least 5 minutes to reconnect the game.
Otherwise, the game will resume regardless if the player can reconnect or not.
● Each team has the right to pause the game for acceptable duration, if a player
announces for a pause and gives coherent reasons the game will pause and will not
resume before both teams agree with it.
● Pausing the game without notifying the facilitator or valid reasons will be given a
warning.
● All players are not allowed to broadcast the games they are playing.
● All players should be officially registered for the team they are representing.

MOBILE LEGENDS.

● Players that are present will be shuffled to each other according to their preferred roles.
● If a player is not present within 5 minutes of the scheduled time, they will be
automatically forfeited.
● Matches will be played in single elimination Best-of-three (BO3) only.
● 5 Players (required) 1 Substitute (optional)
● Substitute players will be decided by the final team winner.
● Team winners are allowed to pick 1 substitute from all the participating players.

GAME SETTINGS

● ▪ Mode: Draft pick


● ▪ Map: Land of Daw
● ▪ Team Pause Time: Twice per game for 2 minutes.

Note: players will provide their own device to avoid an unstable network or game lag.

● Players will be screened based on their experience and achievements in fps


games. If backed by proof, the better.
● 5 Players (required) no subs.
● The proof can be in any form.
○ Highest rank attain in CS:GO or any other fps games (eg: Rainbow six siege,
Valorant, etc.)
○ Photos or screenshot of the tournaments that you have joined.

CODM

● Players that are present will be shuffled to each other according to their preferred roles.
● If a player is not present within 5 minutes of the scheduled time, they will be
automatically forfeited.
● Matches will be played in single elimination Best-of-three (BO3) only.
● 5 Players (required) 1 Substitute (optional)
● Substitute players will be decided by the final team winner.
● Team winners are allowed to pick 1 substitute from all the participating players.

GAME SETTINGS

GAME 1 | HARDPOINT
● Round Score Limit: 250
● Round Time Limit: 600 seconds

GAME 2 | SEARCH & DESTROY


● Round Win Limit: 7
● Round Time Limit: 120 Seconds

GAME 3 | CONTROL
● Round Score Limit: 3
● Round Time Limit: 90 Seconds

Map Pools will be implemented for each round. Maps for all 3 game modes will be announced
per round.

● These maps will be included in the pool: Summit, Standoff, Raid, Take-Off, Firing Range,
Hackney Yard, Crossfire.

RESTRICTIONS
● All players may only use Mobile Devices or Tablets for the tournament.
● Emulators, controllers, mouse, and keyboards are not allowed.
● Any items that are released 2 weeks prior to the tournament are automatically banned for the
tournament.
● No NA-45, SVD, Trip Mine, Thermite, Molotov Cocktail, Akimbo, Persistence, Restock,
Martyrdom, Heartbeat Sensor, Gas Grenades, Flash Drone, H.I.V.E, Shadow Blade, Transform
Shield, Bull Charge, Ballistic Shield, K9, Kinetic Armor, Tak-5, UAV, Advanced UAV, Counter
UAV, Care Package, Shield Turret, Stealth Chopper, Shock RC, Hawk X3, VTOL, Swarm,
Lightning Strike, Orbital Laser, Thumper, Cooling Compressor Barrel, Reactor Core, Contact
Grenade, Echo Grenade, Quick Fix, Hardline, SAM Turret, Sentry Gun, Chopper Gunner,
Napalm BANNED

ITEMS PENALTY
● Usage of banned items will warrant a penalty with repeated offenses during the duration of the
tournament.
▪ 1st - 2nd Offense - Forfeiture of the current round/map
▪ 3rd Offense - Forfeiture of entire series and disqualification

Note: players will provide their own device to avoid an unstable network or game lag.

DOTA 2

● Players that are present will be shuffled to each other according to their preferred roles.
● If a player is not present within 5 minutes of the scheduled time, they will be
automatically forfeited.
● Matches will be played in single elimination Best-of-one (BO1) only.
● 5 Players (required) 1 Substitute (optional)
● Substitute players will be decided by the final team winner.
● Team winners are allowed to pick 1 substitute from all the participating players.

● Lobby Details:
● • All matches are created by the admins, no later than 10 minutes before the game
starts.

• Lobby settings:
• Game Mode: Captains
• Mode Server Location: Asia/Japan
• Lobby Visibility: Public
• Enable Cheats: OFF
• All Chat: ON
• Fill Empty Slots with Bots: OFF
• Spectators: Enable Dota
• TV Delay: 5 minutes
• Teams and players must be in the lobby 5 minutes before starting to decide sides/first pick.
• Choosing Side and Pick. Choosing Side or Pick is made by Automatic coin toss. (If the
automatic coin toss doesn't work, we will manually pick it)

Tekken 7
● Matches will be played in single elimination Best-of-three (BO3) only.
● Preferably have Tekken 7 on their steam account or Has stable internet connection for
cloud play for those non-owned Tekken 7 steam versions.
● 2 Players (required) no subs

Game Mode: Random


Map: Random Arena
Pause Time: None
Toss coin player side per game.
Platform: PC
Can use own controller, gamepad or joystick.
