Notes for following my patterns:
1. Work in spirals. Do not join, slip stitch or turn unless otherwise stated in the pattern.
2. Use a stitch marker in the beginning of each round. This will help to mark the first stitch of
every round
3. Alternative for stitch marker: You can use different yarn for stitch markers too. Just place it
into the first stitch of every row\round as you go.
4. Alternative for magic ring: Make chain 2. Work 6sc in first chain.
5. Yarn suggestions: If you cannot find the same yarn, you can buy a different brand of yarn. But
I suggest choosing to yarn similar m/gr.
6. Finished size is about 25 cm= 9,8 inches tall (using the yarn and crochet hook stated in the
pattern).

Materials:
✓ Hook 2 mm
✓ 100 gr yarn Charm Vita cotton (106/50) 100% mercerized cotton, color 4178 for doll body
✓ 50 gr variegated yarn Alize Bella Batik 100% cotton (180/50) for dress
✓ 50 gr yarn Cotton 100% (50 gr for each color white and red) 330/100 or 150/50 for dress, hat, flower, shoes

✓ PVC single copper electrical wire approx. 30 cm (11,8 inches) long, 1-1,5 mm in diameter (for arms). You can
buy it at electric supplies stores. Use only copper wire for the frame as copper can
better stand bending compared to aluminum
✓ Plaster - adhesive-backed fabric tape 1 cm wide to work up the wire (the one you use to cover wounds).
✓ Insoles in boots, it can be plastic cards, plastic from cans, shampoos and so on. Any plastic container
✓ Needle, scissors
Continue stuffing while you go. Make sure you crochet tight enough; otherwise,
the stuffing will show through the holes.
Rnd1: ch 9, start from the second st from hook – 7 sc, 3 sc in one st, 6 sc, 2 sc in
st (18)
Rnd2: 1 inc, 6 sc, 3 inc, 6 sc, 2 inc (24)
Rnd3: 1 sc, 1 inc, 2 sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc, 5 inc (dc), 1 hdc, 7 sc, 1 inc, 1 sc, 1 inc (32)
Now it is necessary to outline the sole on paper and cut it out. Later we will
need this pattern for cutting out the insole from plastic.
Rnd4: 1 sc, work BLO 31 sc, mark the first BLO sc
Rnds5-6: 32 sc (32)
Rnd7: 11 sc, 6 decs, 9 sc (26)
Rnd8: 26 sc (26)
Gorbunova Dolls’ design Lady in Red 2017
Rnd9: 8 sc, 6 decs, 6 sc (20)
Now you need to cut two insoles from plastic, be sure to make two so that the foots
are the same in size. We put one in the foot and stuff a little.
Rnd10: 7 sc, 4 decs, 5 sc (16)
Rnd11: 15 sc, 1 inc (17)
Rnd12: 2 sc, 1 inc, 9 sc, 1 dec, 3 sc (17)
Rnd13: 1 inc,1 sc, 1 inc, 10 sc, 1 dec, 2 sc (18)
Rnd14: 18 sc (18)
Rnd15: 1 inc, 2 sc, 1 inc, 14 sc (20)
Rnd16: 20 sc (20)
Rnd17: 2 sc, 1 inc, 12 sc, 1 dec, 3 sc (20)
Rnds18-21: 20 sc (20)
Rnd22: 1 dec, 1 sc, 1 dec, 15 sc (18)
Rnd23: 1 inc, 9 sc, 1 inc, 7 sc (20)
The second inc is a knee – it should be closer to inner side of the
leg, if it is not, you can make 10 or 8 sc instead of 9 before inc. After the inc the amount of sc will
change too
Rnd24: 20 sc (20)
Rnd25: 3 sc, 1 inc, 5 sc, 1 dec, 9 sc (20) (the dec should be right over the inc of the round
23, if it is not, you can change the number of sc before the dec)
Right leg
Attention: the marker should be always in the back central stitch. Move the
marker up when you complete the round. If you notice that marker moves to the
right more, you need to work an extra stitch (or stitches) in the end of round (shift
stitch(es)). Place marker after that/those extra stitches. Shift stitch is not included
in description of rounds.
Shift stitch is an extra single crochet stitch (stitches) in the end of a round worked
to move the beginning of next round one or few stitches further than the original
beginning of next round.
Continue stuffing while you go. Make sure you crochet tight enough; otherwise, the
stuffing will show through the holes.
BODY
We will connect the legs from the right one making a 3 chain (groin)
Continue sc around the right leg to the inner side, choose the st from which we start 3ch.
How to define the link sts on both legs: fold the legs in half and attach to each other by inner
sides, mark those sts, which we will join our legs. I choose the sts closer to the front, so that
the legs are slightly clumsy.
Rnd29: start with the first st of the back, make 6 sc, along the unworked sts of the right arm: 6 sc, 6 sc front,
along the unworked sts of the right arm: 6 sc (24)
Before we start to crochet the head, we should crochet the dress and
put it on the body
Head
Stuff the head as you go, hook 2mm. Mark the central back st of the head. It’s not necessary to follow the
marker
Rnd1: 18 incs (36)
Rnd2: (5 sc, 1 inc) x 6 (42)
Rnd3: 3 sc, 1 inc, (6 sc, 1 inc) x 5, 3 sc (48)
Rnd4: (7 sc, 1 inc) x 6 (54)
Rnd5: 4 sc, 1 inc, (8 sc, 1 inc) x 5, 4 sc (60)
Rnd6: (9 sc, 1 inc) x 6 (66)
Rnds7-16: 66 sc (66)
Rnd3: 3 ch, 1 dc at the same stitch from which the 3 ch go, 1 ch, * 2 dc in arch, 1 ch* rep 10
times, 1 sl st in the 3d ch
Rnds9-10: 3ch, 6 dc, skip arch 2ch, *7 dc, 2 ch (skip arch 2ch of the
previous rnd) * rep till the end, 1 sl st in the 3d ch
Rnd11: 2ch, dc2tog (cluster) rep 3 times, sc in the arch, *skip st, dc2tog rep
3 times, sc in the arch* rep 10 times, sl st in the 2nd ch
Rnds12-13: 1ch, 1 sc at the same st, all sts sc, sl st in the first sc, fasten
yarn and cut.
Embroider eyes with black mulina threads, grabbing two rows in length.
Give the cheeks some color
Left boot
Rnd1: ch 9, start from the second st from hook – 7 sc, 3 sc in one st, 6 sc, 2 sc in st (18)
Rnd2: 1 inc, 6 sc, 3 incs, 6 sc, 2 incs (24)
Rnd3: 1 sc, 1 inc, 2 sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc, 5 incs (dc), 1 hdc, 7 sc, 1 inc, 1 sc, 1 inc (32)
Cut two insoles from plastic
Rnd4: 12 sc, 1 inc, 1 sc, 1 inc, 2 sc, 1 inc, 1 sc, 1 inc, 12 sc, correct the marker, change the color (36)
Rnds5: change the color, work in BLO 36 sc (36)
Rnds6-7: 36 sc (36)
Rnd8: 11 sc, 1 dc, dc2tog, 1 dc, dc2tog x 3, 1 dc, dc2tog, 1 dc, 11 sc (31)
Rnd9: 12 sc, dc7tog (cluster), 1 sl st, 12 sc (27)
Put the insole, put the boot on, and crochet on the leg
Rnd10: (1 dec, 1 sc) x 3, 8 ch, the next sc make on the other side
parallel, 1 dec, sl st, fasten and cut off the yarn
If your boot does not sit tightly on the leg (you need to prevent
it from being removed), you can continue to make decs to
the middle back of the boot, then make a sl st, fasten and
cut off the yarn.
