DAILY ACTVITY REPORT
DAY 1

Date and time February 20, 2023 | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Activity On-the-Job Training

Narration of The first days and experiences give us the feeling of both
the whole day excitement and nervousness with a sack of curiousness with us as
activity/duty we experience the first duties we are about to unfold. During the
first day, we started our day by gathering together. My first morning
in the Police Regional Office 02 was a simple one since we had not
done anything that serious yet, but we were asked to observe our
surroundings after they have finished checking our attendance.
After the attendance, we were given some house rules on the dos
and don’ts as well as our proper discipline inside the agency.
In the afternoon, we were immediately gathered together
again and the division of the interns per unit already happened
where I, together with another colleague, were assigned to the
Regional District Support Unit Office or RDSU Office. An
observation is that police officers in the RDSU are welcoming for
they were approachable and easy to talk to. After conversing with
our superiors for a while, we were tasked to bring the Statement of
Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN) of Maj. Calagui to
another office or unit in the Police Regional Office 02. Going back,
we just continued observing how they move around the unit where
we were assigned to.

Knowledge I was able to teach myself that four corners of our learning
gained from studios are very different from real life experiences for it might give
the whole day us unexpected turns and shifts that we might not be able to read in
duty books already.
Moreover, I have learned how important respect and
courtesy are when I deal with our superiors, with anyone in any
agency or office, as well as with my co-interns for it takes the two in
building a harmonious internship for months.
Discipline must strictly be observed and must start with
ourselves even if no one is watching us just like the simple obeying
of using the pedestrian lanes and wearing of helmets inside the
agency even if one is only going in a short distance.

DAILY ACTVITY REPORT
DAY 2

Date and time February 21, 2023 | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Activity On-the-Job Training

Narration of To wonder and be curious are two things that I promised to

the whole day bring with me during my internship journey. Today, we experienced
activity/duty for the first time to ride an Innova patrol car inside the Regional
Police Office 02 (PRO 02) premises and we used the same car
going to the administration building because we were also given
the responsibility to submit the attendance sheets of the police
officials under the Office of the Regional District Support Unit
(ORDSU) to the mentioned building. The next task given was from
SPO4 Tappa which was to obtain folders from the Regional Supply
Accountable Office (RSAO). Before the end of the morning duty, all
interns were called to gather in the court inside the PRO 02 for
some reminders and announcements. It was during the gathering
where we are informed of some of the functions and purposes of
several units found in the PRO 02 as well as our proper grooming
during our internship especially with having with the prescribed
proper hair. We went back to our respective units or offices before
we were cleared to take our lunch break.
In the afternoon, we helped our superiors clean their office a
little as we are taught on how important cleanliness is in our
workplaces. Moreover, Maj. Calagui lent us a book entitled “44
Days of Faith and Valor: A Warrior’s Daily Devotional” for us to
read and be inspired of what really is like to be men wearing the
police uniform for he said that it is not merely about the uniform
that makes up the whole police officer but it is with the behavior
and commitment that a servant gives together with such uniform.
We were also given the task to move a motorcycle into the garage.
Just like yesterday, police officers from the unit I was assigned to
and so with other units are very sociable and are not intimidating at
all but rest assured that we do not forget to give them the respect
due to them.

Knowledge Today is no ordinary day for it was a combination of both

gained from intellectual learning and physical experiencing as we were able to
the whole day learn from the reading material as well as we became more
duty knowledgeable of the other offices or units inside the Regional
Police Office 02.
The uniform worn being in the police force gives a person
the integrity as private citizens look at them but behind such
uniform is the societal duty and personal obligation to help
regardless of anything. Hence, obedience to one’s oath is a lifelong
commitment to the police service as it changes one’s life,
perspective, and priorities as one starts to serve the whole society,
his or her country and fellowmen.

DAILY ACTVITY REPORT
DAY 3

Date and time February 22, 2023 | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Activity On-the-Job Training

Narration of Some days are just ordinary days compared to the rest and
the whole day this day is one of those days. As I entered the office early in the
activity/duty morning, there is no much to be done because the Regional Police
Office 02 (PRO 02) is celebrating their 32nd Founding Anniversary
where we have witnessed a parade around the campus through a
marching band as the Regional Police Office 02 opened their day
of commemoration and having Hon. Atty. Alyssa Sheena P. Tan,
CPA, City of Santiago, Isabela Mayor as a keynote speaker. Since
there is no support needed at that time yet as well as to show
support to the whole Regional Police Office 02, then we were given
a chance to watch the said procession. Going back to the office,
SPO4 Tappa allowed me to borrow his motorcycle and was given
the responsibility to be more knowledgeable of the different units or
offices inside the Regional Police Office 02 even for a week since
such agency has many sub-offices considering that it has a
regional scope. With this, SPO4 Tappa reminded us how important
it is to actually be scholarly in the various offices as we belong to
the support unit of the Regional Police Office 02 in able that we can
attend fast and fervent to the needs, concerns, and demands of the
other units. Together with the celebration, our unit, ORDSU, bought
foods to be cooked where I went with a superior to the public
market and reminded me of some traffic and/or driving matters
especially when I will soon enter the police service.
In the afternoon, we were advised that depending on the
number of those who will attend tomorrow’s relief goods giving in
the Municipality of Baggao, Cagayan, we might be able to attend
and be part of such activity in continuation of their 32 nd Founding
Anniversary. Next, I was asked by Maj. Calagui to submit a
document to Corporal Vanguardia in another unit within the
Regional Police Office 02. Since the whole Regional Police Office
02 is busy with the celebration, nothing followed such activities.

Knowledge With the 32nd Founding Anniversary of the Regional Police

gained from Office 02, I have observed how they still give respect and
the whole day importance to such celebration despite having no benefit in
duty participating the celebration except the benefit of actually being
given the chance and privilege to serve the country and their
fellowmen.
Furthermore, I have learned how important it is to follow
road rules and regulations regardless of the position or rank one
has in the police force. This is a reminder to always stay humble
and remain committed not to the position but to the promised
genuine service to all as we are to be seen as good role models to
each and every citizen.

Documentation:

‘Twas indeed a day of celebration, thanksgiving, and reminding the true essence of
service and passion.
DAILY ACTVITY REPORT
DAY 4

Date and time February 23, 2023 | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Activity On-the-Job Training

Narration of Few minutes upon my arrival in the Regional Police Office

the whole day 02, we were given our first assignment to submit the attendance
activity/duty sheet of the police officers under the Office of Regional District
Support Unit (ORDSU) to the administrative building where SPO4
Tappa lent us his motorcycle with the reminder to wear proper
helmets even just around the PRO 02 campus. Going back, SPO4
Tappa who was with us only almost the whole morning checked
the narrative reports which were requested by them to be written in
a logbook with some commendable compliments of using the
formal language, English. With an estimated time of 30 minutes
before the lunch break, all police officers in the ORDSU went aside
and did their respective and individual responsibilities both within
and outside the Regional Police Office 02 as we waited for the time
before going out for lunch.
In the afternoon, we accompanied SPO4 Pajarillo in the
market to buy plywood needed for the office or unit using the L300
police patrol car. We were also invited by Maj. Calagui to witness
the arrival of PMGEN Eliseo DC Cruz, the Director of the
Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management at the
Camp Marcelo A Adduru or in the Regional Police Office 02
campus. The next task was to fix the logs or woods in the stock
room with the help of other interns who were free during that time
and with permission from their supervisors or superiors from their
respective assigned units.

Knowledge As much as we would like to become men in uniform and

gained from pour out all the services physically needed by our country and our
the whole day fellowmen, police officers could still not escape from doing
duty documents or literary works such as reports and accounts. This is
an important reminder that being in the police force requires both a
physical and intellectual duty. Therefore, entering the police force,
there is the constant need for continuously learning the changing
policies and the proper application of laws and rules to avoid its
violations and avoid disobedience to the values, virtues, and ethics
and principles that we uphold to.
