of arts and crafts inspired by the cultures of Southeast
Asia.
 identify characteristics of arts and crafts in specific
countries in Southeast Asia: Indonesia (batik, Wayang
puppetry); Malaysia (modern batik, wau, and objects
made from pewter); Thailand (silk fabrics and Loi Kratong
Lantern Festival); Cambodia (Angkor Wat and ancient
temples); Singapore (Merlion), etc.
Key Understanding to be Developed Arts and crafts (Fabric/Fabric Design) of Southeast Asian
countries with different characteristics which include the different
elements and principles of art.
OBJECTIVES
Knowledge Describe the distinct characteristics of different fabric designs
Skills compare the similarities and differences of the fabric designs of the specific countries of
SE Asia

15 mins.
1. Group the learners into 5 and leach group will be given pictures of the
different fabric/fabric designs of SE Asian countries (Thailand,
Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore & Brunei)
2. Let them describe (include the element and principle of arts) the
different popular fabric/fabric design pictures of SE Asian countries
3. Each group will be given a worksheets for them to write their answers.
Each group will choose a representative to share their outputs in the class.

Analysis
Time Frame: The teacher will let each group discuss how they describe the pictures given.
15 mins. Refer on page LM 150-193.
 Are the pictures given have similarities or differences? Which country
has similar Fabric/Fabric design?
Abstraction
Time Frame:  After the group discussion, the teacher will give a brief discussion
10 mins. about the different characteristics of the different Fabric/fabric design
of SE Asian countries.
Application 1. Write down the popular fabric designs of the following countries of Southeast
