HOBBIES
Hello everyone! My name is Mai and today, I tell you about my hobby. In
my free time, I usually listen to music on the internet. I like country music
because when I listen to music, I feel love for life, dispel negative thoughts
after long days of tiring work and study. Actually, I'm not an instrument
player. I think that only people with natural abilities and who are diligent
can play musical instruments well. Of course, I don't have that innate ability.
Well, I usually watch TV in my free time. I love animated movies by Disney
Studios because when I watch them, I feel so relaxed. I love playing sports,
especially badminton, because it helps me improve my health and increase
my height.
Bài 2. FAMILY
Hello everyone! My name is Mai and today, I will introduce everyone to my
family. I come from a large family of 3 generations. My family has 5 people:
my grandparents, my mother, my young bother and me, because my father
passed away when I was only 7 years old. My grandparents are retired and
are planting trees for their small garden. My mother is a local preschool
teacher. My brother is in grade 9 at the local middle school.

Hello everyone! My name is Mai and today, I will tell everyone about my summer
vacation last year. Last summer, I went to Lagi Beach with my family. We went
there by airplane because it is very far from my house, it is about two hours away
from where I live, so we were very tired, but at one we felt better when we saw the
sea. Lagi beach is really interesting, the beach is very large, flat, and it has a lot of
sand. Waves are very strong, you will be very excited when you play with it. There
are a lot of beauty spots, and good seafood there. We stayed in Binh Minh hotel. It
was a very nice and comfortable hotel, it’s also rather near the sea. The weather
was hot and sunny all day. The sea was cool and clear, because it was very windy
in the afternoon. We went swimming twice a day. Everyone in my family was
excited about it. The food was extremely delicious but not very expensive. We
took a lot of photographs of the sea, bought a lot of seafood especially octopus and
some sea present for our relatives. After 3 days in Lagi Beach we felt happy and
stronger. I hope I can go there a few more times with my friends.

Hello everyone! My name is Mai. I like listening to music on the internet.
Because when I listen to music, I feel love for life, dispel negative thoughts
after long days of tiring work and study. Of all the genres of music in the
world, my favorite is country music because they are so vibrant and make
me feel like I can dance to this music, of course, my favorite singer is
indispensable - it's Taylor Swift. Actually, I'm not an instrument player. I
think that only people with natural abilities and who are diligent can play
musical instruments well. If possible, I wish I could play the guitar because I
see people who know how to play guitar often live very emotional lives like
my father.
Bài 7. FOOD
I prefer to eat food rather than drink, because I feel that food has more
variety and looks more beautiful than drinks. Especially the dishes with
more protein, more vitamins than fast food sold on the roadside. I like to eat
home food, because I feel very happy when I can eat meals cooked by the
woman in the house. Actually, I'm not a good cook and only know how to
cook basic and simple dishes on a Vietnamese rice tray. I rarely go out to
eat, but I like homemade food, because it has a lot of nutrients for the body.
Of course I will go out to eat if traveling with family or hanging out with
friends.
Bài 8. TRANSPORT
I usually walk to school because my school is quite close to the hostel where
I live with my friends. With only from 7 to 10 minutes of walking, I was
able to reach the school that I was attending- that is Hanoi National
University of Education. I feel quite comfortable walking from the hostel to
the school because it helps us to improve our health, especially avoiding
traffic jams when traveling by bus and motorbike. I don't usually use public
transport except when I need to go to an acquaintance's house, because
during the complicated development of the Covid epidemic, I personally
think we should limit going out.
