My life verse is Matthew 7:1-5, “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.

2 For in the same way you judge

others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. “Why do you look
at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How
can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in
your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to
remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

This verse reminds me to treat other people in good ways, I am type of person that I quick to notice that
others do wrong, but not so quick to recognize the same failings or worse in myself. I always thought
what a difficult command. Everyone of us many times we always judged many things without realizing it
in people pass by in front of us, watching the news, reading a newspaper, and even in our social media
account we’ve seen some post of other people and make some judgements.

In my experience, my aunt who is addicted to social media when someone posts things that is upsetting
to her part, she always had a comment saying that the posts she sees is awful but she didn’t realize that
she’s a hypocrite. The word of God taught me to be a better version of myself that if we do remove the
log from our own eye, then we will indeed be able to be better and to help the person remove the
splinter from their eye. Hence, in order to be faithful to God, you should judge, but that judgement
should be directed to yourself.

Lastly, I always pray to God to give me a vision to my own weaknesses, so that I may have compassion,
not criticism for the weaknesses of others. And be kind to your enemies.
