Hi everybody!!

We go on working with Task 1, but this week you have to hand in a written Tp. I’m very interested
in how you use the BUSINESS VOCABULARY you have learnt two weeks ago. So please, use it
consciously.

1. Go through Task 1 all by yourself. You have some readings that you have to do. If you don’t
understand I’ll be waiting your doubts
2. There are some exercise about Simple Present and Present Continuous with Business
Vocabulary that you can do for further practice (These exercises are not to hand in)
3. And this is what you have to hand in. Do the reading on page 7 of the PDF, and solve
the chart on page 6. The following chart.

4. Answer the following questions


a. Why is the title of the article “Restless Pursuer of Luxury’s future”?
The title "Restless Pursuer of Luxury’s Future" describes Sydney Toledano, Dior's Chief Executive, as a
dynamic and constantly active leader. He works tirelessly to balance shareholder demands and the brand's
historic values while expanding the company globally. Toledano travels frequently to understand emerging
markets and anticipate customer needs, ensuring that Dior remains relevant and successful in the future of
luxury.
b. What do you think of the following piece of advice: “The best advice I ever got was that,
when times are bad, you need to go out from the office, when things are good, you can
spend time on the organization.”
I think this advice demonstrates that to pursue the future of luxury, you have to go out and understand the
market, and connect with customers and employees. You have to work hard to input a brand, and then,
when things are good, you can sit back and enjoy.
Moreover, when things are going well, we can focus more on improving how our company works from the
inside. This helps us plan for the future and get ready for what's coming next. By making our processes
better and being more efficient when times are good, we set ourselves up to grow and succeed in new
markets.

c. Why is Mr Toledano positive about Middle East? Explain.

Mr. Toledano is positive about the Middle East because he believes there is growth coming in that region.
He sees potential for expansion and market development
This optimism can be attributed to positive economic indicators that suggest an increasing in the
purchasing power of consumer. Also the culture in this region tend to the use of luxury products wherever
possible, allowing for the brand to establish itself further.

5. Read the texts about HUDSON CORPORATION on pages 11 and 12 of the PDF. Then solve the
following activities.
a. Choose 2 of the strategies HUDSON CORPORATION should focus on to expand sales in the
European market. Consider the advantages and the disadvantages of the strategies
chosen.

If I were tasked with increasing sales for HUDSON CORPORATION in the European market, I would propose
implementing a digital marketing and E-commerce strategy. Today, in digital age, online channels play a
crucial role in reaching and engaging with consumers.

lots of people buy things online, so we want to make sure they can easily find our products. To do this,
we'll use social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram to show what we sell and reach more people.
We'll also improve our website so it shows up at the top of search results when people search for similar
things to what we offer. Additionally, we'll make it very easy to buy from our online store, with simple
payment options and clear product descriptions. We want the shopping experience to be enjoyable for
everyone. With these strategies, we believe we can connect with more people and sell more products in
Europe
