    INTRODUCTION
    The Angkor Temples, located in the Siem Reap
    region of Cambodia, are an impressive testimony
    to the architecture and culture of the Khmer
    civilization. These temples, built between the 9th
    and 15th centuries, are a symbol of the history and
    sophisticated civilization that emerged in the
    region.
    HISTORY
    The construction of the Angkor Temples took
    place during the rise of the Khmer Empire, led by
    visionary monarchs such as Suryavarman II and
    Jayavarman VII. Angkor Wat, the most iconic
    temple, was built in the 12th century as a
    monument dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu.
    Other prominent temples include Bayon, known
    for its mysterious faces carved into the towers, and
    Ta Prohm, famous for being wrapped in tree roots.
    CONSTRUCTION AND DESIGN
    The architecture of the Angkor Temples reflects the
    unique fusion of Hindu and Buddhist architectural styles.
    Angkor Wat, in particular, exhibits a celestial layout with
    its towers soaring skyward. Detailed reliefs on the walls
    narrate Hindu myths and scenes of daily life in ancient
    Cambodia. The hydraulic design is also remarkable, with
    advanced canal systems and reservoirs that
    demonstrated the advanced engineering of the Khmer
    civilization.

    CONCLUSION

    In conclusion, they are a set of very beautiful and unique temples,


    but the trip to Cambodia to see them is quite expensive, as it costs
    between 550 and 850 euros.
