Atmosphere

o Operating temperature range: from 15°C to 30°C

o Maximum relative humidity: 80%.
o Non-condensing humidity.

Water supply

o Pressure: 2.5 bars minimum

o Temperature: 5°C to 20°C
o Hardness: <16°TH

The water hardness is the indicator for water mineralization. In other terms,
we are mentioning here, the scale level in the water. This scale can lead to
limestone solidification in the double jacket and lead to potential issues with
the MEDIAWEL. We therefore strongly recommend using an anti-limescale
device.
ALLIANCE BIO EXPERTISE accepts no liability for malfunctions or damage
caused by the presence of limescale inside the double jacket or other part of
the circuit.

Power supply

Alliance Bio Expertise shall not be held liable for any electrical issues if the
points below have not been complied with when switching the device on.
It is mandatory having an ELCB (electric line circuit breaker) with ground fault
protection according to country standard and currant noted below

Our equipment is intended to be connected to a strictly non-residential

electrical network in a commercial or industrial environment, and its design
or other features clearly exclude the possibility of residential use

3. Remove the sampling cap from the lid.

4. Insert the reference temperature probe (a 42 cm

long probe with specific adapter) into the
sampling port.

5. Launch a cycle with a 2 step program: 121°C THERMOMETER WITH SPECIFIC

for 15 min, at speed 5 for the first step and PROBE ON REQUEST
42°C, at speed 5 for the second step.

6. Read the displayed temperature of the MEDIAWEL during the first step
(after 5 min of stability at 121°C) and read the one of the reference
thermometer at the same time. Write them down.

7. Read the displayed temperature of the MEDIAWEL during the second step
(after 5 min of stability at 42°C) and read the one of the reference
thermometer at the same time. Write them down.

8. Press to stop the cycle.

9. Select the METROLOGY menu (accessible only to users with Metrology

access rights)

10. In each field, enter the

measured values that you
wrote down.

11. Make sure the data are

correct and press

to confirm.

The temperature on the main screen will adjust according to the calibration
performed.

Descaling the device
The descaling has to be done every 6
months for a water hardness superior to
TH 16°.

Advised descaling solution: MEDW3012

(SOLD ONLY IN FRANCE – for other
destination, please use local a descaling
solution adapted to stainless steel and
brass application).

Required accessories:
• 1 meter + 1,5 meters of tubing with 12mm internal diameter
• 1 graduated bucket that can contain 3 liters minimum.
• 1 graduated bucket of 1 liter
• 1 Funnel on which tubing can be plugged.
• 2,5L of descaling solution suitable with brass and stainless steel
(ref: MEDW3012)
• Gloves and protection glasses

To perform the descaling, please follow the steps below:

1. Disconnect inlet and outlet tubing at the back of the MEDIAWEL.

2. Connect the 1 meter tubing

on the exhaust port and place
the free end inside the big
bucket.

3. Connect the 1,5 meter tubing

on the inlet port and connect
the funnel to the free end.

4. Switch on the MEDIAWEL and

place the red tubing higher than
the Vessel level (see figure
below)

5. Select water menu

6. Activate water circulation by

pressing the ON button.

7. Pour water into the funnel up to getting the tubing full of it

50
8. Remove water from big bucket and put the tubing back inside.

9. Fill the funnel of descaling operation up to 2,5l of water in the big bucket.

10. Stop the water circulation by pressing STOP button.

11. Disconnect the inlet and exhaust tubing and put back the original one.

DO NOT OPEN THE WATER

TAP

12. Create a 2-step program (first step of 30 min at 95°C and second step at 75°C with
10 liters of demineralized water in the vessel).

13. Start the cycle without opening the water tap.

14. Wait for the second step temperature reaching (the time to reach the second step
is longer than usual because there is no water circulation).

15. Stop the cycle.

16. Open the water tap and use the MAINTENANCE menu to start a water circulation
to cool down the vessel.

17. Once the vessel is cooled down the procedure is ended.
