SP E C I F I C A T I O N S
3.02 Concrete and Reinforced Concrete: All provisions of the National Structural Code for Buildings and the American Institute's
Building Code Requirements for Reinforced Concrete shall be made a part of this Specification. Sample test of concrete
mixture with approved graded materials must be done before any concrete work is started.
3.03 Concrete:
* Minimum concrete strength at 28 days compressive test shall be as follows *
A. Columns, Reinforced Concrete Walls, Footing Tie Beams, Retaining Walls, fc’= 27.54 Mpa (4,000 psi) as per structural
design.
B. Suspended slabs, beams, and girders,fc' = 27.59 MPa (4,000 psi) as per structural design.
C. Slab on Grade -fc’= 20.70 Mpa (3,000 psi) as per structural design.
D. Others not specified, Stairs, Cistern - fc’ = 27.54 Mpa (4,000 psi) as per structural design.
Concrete shall be deposited in its final position without segregation re-handling or flowing. Placing shall be done
preferably with buggies, buckets or wheelbarrows. No chutes will be allowed except to transfer concrete from hoppers to
buggies, wheelbarrows or buckets in which case they shall not exceed six (6.00) meters in aggregate length.
No depositing of concrete shall be allowed without the use of vibrators unless authorized in writing by the designers and
only for unusual conditions were vibrations is extremely difficult to accomplish.
Without preliminary test data, the water cement ration for a given strength of concrete should not exceed the values shown
in the ACI Code, when strength in excess of 211.0 kg/cm² (3 ksi) are required, strength test should be made.
3.04 Concrete Protection for Reinforcing Bars:
* The following shall be the clear cover concrete protections:
Foundation --------------------------------- 0.08 m.
Slab on grade ----------------------------- 0.04 m.
Surface exposed to weather --------- 0.05 m.
Columns ------------------------------------- 0.04 m.
Beams and girders ----------------------- 0.04 m.
Suspended slabs and stairs ----------- 0.02 m.
Walls ------------------------------------------- 0.02 m.
3.05 Reinforcing Bars:
A. Unless specified otherwise, all reinforcing bars shall be deformed billet-steel bars in accordance with ASTM A 615.
B. 12mm. dia. and larger dia. rebars shall be deformed intermediate - fy = 275.73 MPa (40,000 psi).
C. 10 mm. dia. rebars & smaller shall be deformed structural grade - fy = 227.48 MPa (33,000 psi).
D. All reinforcing bar diameter shall be strictly followed. Any deviations from those specified shall have the written
approval of the Structural Engineer.
E. Where splicing is required; slab, beam and girder reinforcing bars shall be spliced at quarter point and a minimum
length of 40 times the diameter of the bar.
F. Column vertical bars shall be spliced at mid-floor height and a minimum length of 40-D also. Not more than 50% of
the total number of bars shall be spliced at any given section.
3.06 Structural Steel
A. All structural steel, both angles and steel plates shall conform to ASTM A36 -fy = 248.16 MPa (36,000 psi)
B. Welding electrodes shall be E60XX/E70xx series.
C. Machine and anchor bolts shall conform to ASTM A-325.
D. Welding joints shall be tested by X-ray Method by an independent company engaged in non-
destructive testing. The welds are considered satisfactory if 9 out of 10 samples passed the
requirement otherwise the welds shall be corrected.
E. Unless otherwise noted, bolts shall conform to ASTM A325.
F. FABRICATION
1. Steel fabricator shall submit shop drawing showing complete detailed connections for approval of the Structural
Engineer. No material shall be ordered nor fabrication started until the Structural Engineer approves such drawings.
2. All dimensions in the plans shall be verified by the steel fabricator in the field in coordination with the project in-charge.
3. All rafter joints shall be provided with 8mm thick gussets plates. Center and side girts shall have gusset plates in every
joint with 6mm thick.
4. All splices shall be staggered. No splices shall be permitted at point where critical stresses occur. Splice plate shall have
a minimum length of 300mm.
5. For base and bearing plates thickness see Structural plans.
6. All erection bolt holes shall be 3mm plus nominal bolt diameter.
7. All cuttings shall be neat cut.
8. Shop paint (Red Lead primer, 2 coats) shall be provided.
Any work that is not in conformity with these specifications will be rejected at any time during the progress of the works.
3.07 Minimum Time before Removal of Forms after Pouring:

3.08 Pipes & Conduits Embedded in Concrete:
Unless otherwise shown on structural drawings or permission of Engineer, pipes and other electrical conduits with their fittings
shall not displace more than 4% of the cross-sectional area of the column.
3.09 Cambering:
Unless otherwise specified by the Engineer cambers are to be provided for all suspended reinforced concrete members, as
follows:
A. Beams -------------------------------------------12 mm. per 3.05 m.
B. Slabs ---------------------------------------------12 mm. per 3.05 m.
C. Cantilevered Beams & slabs --------------12 mm. per 3.05 m.
3.10 Materials:
A. Portland Cement: Island or equivalent.
B. Gravel: G-1, crushed, for foundation works and footings.
: G-3/4, crushed, for slabs, walls and columns.
C. Sand: S-1, washed, clean, greenish in color.
D. Water: Clean, potable.
E. Reinforcing Bars: Deformed, Billet Steel, by PAG-ASA Steel Works, Inc. or approved equal and must pass materials test.
F. Steel Tie Wire: Gauge 16, GI Wire.
G. Form Coatings: Forms shall be coated with Formcoat R-21 only.
H. Forms: 12 mm thk. Plywood/ laminated board.
I. Form Ties: Form ties shall be watertight.
J. Concrete Hollow Blocks: 750psi load bearings blocks by Rockbuilt, or approved equal for all walls unless otherwise
specified.
: 750psi load bearing blocks for firewalls and perimeter fence by Rockbuilt or approved equal.
3.11 Concrete Topping : Over membrane waterproofing or insulation shall be 75 mm thick reinforced with Ga. 10 x 100mm x
100mm welded wire mesh.
3.12 Vibrator: All concrete including 100mm thk. concrete slab shall be compacted with high frequency, internal mechanical
vibrating equipment supplemented by hand spading and tamping. Vibrators shall be designed to operate with vibrating
element submerged in the concrete, and shall have a frequency of not less than 6,000 impulses per minute when submerged.
3.13 Concrete Hollow Blocks: - 100 mm thk. For perimeter fence; 150mm thick for warehouse walls, exterior walls & interior
partitions with embedded pipes; 100mm thk. for interior wall partitions unless otherwise noted. Rockbuilt or approved equal.
: Reinforcing Bars: Deformed Steel, Grade 230 Structural Grade, 12mm diameter vertical bars at every 600mm and 12mm
diameter horizontal bars at every third course (600mm).
: Stiffener Columns : Refer to Structural sheets for details & locations of the stiffener columns.
: Stiffener Beams: See Structural sheets for the details & locations of the stiffener beams.
: Lintel Beams: Se Structural sheets for the details & locations of the lintel beams.
: Anchor Masonry to Structural members such as steel columns and beams with metal ties embedded in masonry joints and
attached by welding to the structure.
3.14 It shall be the duty and responsibility of the Contractor to provide sheet piles, to protect adjacent properties and personnel
during construction.
5.0 WATERPROOFING:
5.01 Cementitious by DR Seal or approved equal for gutters, decks, canopy, balcony, parapets, & T&Bs.
5.02 For exterior masonry walls, use Boysen Acrytex or Davies Liquid Tile System for base preparations. 2 coats topcoats of
specified color scheme with elastomeric paint by Boysen or Davies.
5.03 All surface preparation and application of materials shall strictly follow the manufacturer's specifications.
5.04 All works shall have a minimum guarantee of five years and a certificate must be issued to client upon completion of
waterproofing works.
5.05 Scope:
A. General: This specification covers the requirements relating to waterproofing treatment of concrete structures, both above
and below grade as specified herein.
8.0 FINISHES:
8.01 Floor Finishes – PLAIN CEMENT FINISH FOR ALL FLOORING EXCEPT FOR TOILETS. Straight plain cement finish for
warehouse flooring and concrete topping will not be allowed. Use Sikafloor Curehard-24 (See product for application method)
or equivalent as concrete densifier.
For DHL Mezzanine flooring: Straight rough cement finish for ceramic/homogeneous tiles floor finishes.
For ILC Mezzanine flooring: Straight plain cement finish for epoxy or vinyl topping.
8.02 Wall Finishes:
A. Interior Masonry Wall Finishes:
(1) Plain Cement Plaster Finish: minimum of 10mm thk. on vertical concrete on masonry and for all concrete, not
noted with other finishes.
B. Exterior Wall Finishes:
(1) Plain Cement Plaster Finish: minimum of 10mm thk. on vertical concrete on masonry and for all concrete hollow block
walls.
: See ITEM 5-WATERPROOFING for treatment of exterior masonry walls.
(2) Perimeter fence chb wall shall be tool-finish for both faces.
(3) See Architectural sheets for wall finishes.
8.03 Ceiling Finishes:
A. Toilets: 5mm thick fiber cement board (Hardiflex Brand), painted as per standard application, Semi-gloss latex or
Flat latex.
B. Mezzanine: Use 12mm Gypsum Boral Brand for the underside and 5mm fiber cement board for the upper portion on
2” x 3” x 0.8mm metal studs ceiling frames with 2” x 6” x 1.2mm C-Purlins runners spaced at 1.20m for hanger
supports (See Architectural plans)
10.0 PLUMBING:
10.01 The work to be done under this Division of the Specifications consist of the fabrication, complete in all details of the
Plumbing Works, the subject premises, and all work and materials incidental to the proper completion of the installation,
except those portions of the work which are expressly stated to be done by others. All works shall be in accordance with the
governing Codes and Regulations and with the Specifications. Conflicts shall be brought to the attention of the Architect and
or Engineer for final decision. The requirements in regards to materials and workmanship specify the required standards for the
furnishing of all labor, materials and appliances necessary for the complete installation of the work specified herein and
indicated on the drawings.
10.02 Drawings and Specifications:
A. The contract drawings and specifications are complimentary to each other and any labor or materials called for by either,
whether or not called for by both, if necessary for the successful operation of any of the particular type of equipment
furnished and installed without additional cost to the Owner.
B. All dimensional locations of fixtures, equipment, floor and roof drains, risers and pipe chase shall be verified on the
architectural drawings and manufacturer's catalogue.
10.03 Intent:
It is not intended that the drawings shall show every pipe-fitting, valve and appliances. All such items whether specifically
mentioned or not, or indicated on the drawings, shall be furnished and installed if necessary to complete the system in
accordance with the best practice of the plumbing trade and to the satisfaction of the Designer and the Owner.
10.04 Codes and References:
The work under this contract is to be installed with reference to the latest requirement of the following:

REGULATIONS OF LOCAL WATERWORKS & SEWERAGE AUTHORITY
10.05 Record Drawings:
A. The Contractor shall, during the progress of work, keep a record of the actual installation from that shown on the Contract
Drawings. Any major deviation shall be provided with shop drawings for the Engineer's approval.
B. Upon completion of work, the Contractor shall submit four (4) copies of the as-built plans indicating the work as actually
and finally installed.
10.06 Workmanship:
The work throughout shall be executed in the best and most thorough manner to the satisfaction of the Architect and
Engineers, who will jointly interpret the meaning of the Drawings and Specifications and shall have the power to reject
any work and materials which in their judgment, are not in full accordance therewith.
The Contractor shall assume all responsibility and shall provide the services of the qualified Engineer to supervise the
complete installation of equipment and systems and who shall be available for conducting the final acceptance test.
10.07 Installation:
A. Excavation, Backfilling and Pipe Laying.
1. Excavating
a. Trenches for all underground pipelines shall be excavated to the required depths and grades.
b. Bell holes shall be provided so that pipe will rest on well-tamped solid ground for its entire length.
c. Where rock is encountered, excavation shall extend to a depth six inches below the pipe bottom, and before pipe is laid,
the space between the bottom of pipe shall be filled with approved filling materials.
2. Pipe Laying
a. Pipe in trenches shall be laid true to line and grade on a stable or suitably prepared foundation, each section of
the pipe being bedded and bottom of the trench shaped to fit the lowest quadrant of the pipe circumference.
b. Pipes shall not pass through columns, footings, beam, except where noted on the drawings.
3. Backfilling
a. After pipelines have been tested, inspected and approved by the Designer and prior to backfilling, all forms and
bracings shall be removed and the excavation shall be cleaned from trash and debris.
b. Materials for backfilling shall consist of approved materials and shall be free of debris or big rocks.
c. Backfill shall be placed in horizontal layers, properly moistened and compacted to an optimum density that will prevent
excessive settlement and shrinkage.
B. Water Piping
1. The piping shall be extended to all fixtures, outlets and equipment from the valve installed in each branch.
2. The piping system shall be installed with a fall toward a main shut-off valve and drains. Ends of pipes and outlets shall be
capped with pipe extension of 30 cm. long.
3. All pipes embedded underground shall have at least two (2) coats of tar or carbon line.
4. All hot water piping shall be insulated except those embedded in concrete or otherwise noted.
C. Cleanout and Traps
1. Cleanout
a. Cleanouts shall be of the same as the pipe. For pipes 100mm. and larger, use 100mm. cleanout.
b. Use Brass cleanouts with counter sunk brass cover for septic tank/vault at car park.
2. Trap
a. Each fixture trap except those cast integral or in combination with fixtures in which the trap seal is readily accessible
brass type screw of ample size.
D. Sleeves, Hangars, Supports
1. Sleeves, pipe Hangers, Pipe Supports & Fixture Supports
a. Sleeves, pipe hangers, pipe supports and fixture support shall be furnished and set, and the contractor shall be responsible
for their proper and permanent location.
b. All fixtures and equipment shall be supported and fastened in a safe and satisfactory manner.
2. Pipe Sleeves
a. Pipe sleeves shall be installed and properly secured in place at all points where pipes pass through masonry or concrete
except unframed floors on earth.
b. Pipe sleeves shall be of sufficient diameter to provide approximately 6mm. clearance around the pipe or insulation.
3. Pipe Hangers, Supports and Inserts
a. Horizontal runs of pipe shall be hung with adjustable wrought iron or malleable iron pipe hangers spaced not over three
(3) meters apart, except hub-and-spigot soil pipes which shall have hangers spaced not over 1.5mm apart and located near
the hub.
b. Trapeze hangers may be used in lieu of separate hangers on pipes running parallel to and close to each other.
c. Inserts shall be securely anchored and the anchor shall be properly slushed with mortar. Inserts shall be completely
concealed when the fixtures are installed.
d. Others - Apply the water to the system either in its entirety or in sections after rough piping have been installed. If
applied to the entire system, all openings in the piping shall be tightly closed, except the highest opening and the system
filled with water to point of overflow. Keep the water in the system or in portion under test for at least thirty (30) minutes
during which time there shall be no drop greater than 100mm.
e. Where a portion of the piping system is to be concealed before completion, this portion shall be tested separately in a
manner similar to that described for the entire system.
E. Cleaning and Painting
1. All Exposed Metal Surfaces
a. All exposed metal surfaces shall be rid of grease, dirt or other foreign materials.
b. All equipment, pipes, valves and fittings shall be cleaned of, grease and sludge which may have accumulated. Any
discolorization or other damage to the parts of the building, its finishes or furnishings due to the system shall be repaired
by the Contractor.
2. Painting
a. All exterior surfaces of pipings to be installed in or through concrete floor fill or tile floors and underground shall be
given one coat of acid resisting paint having a bituminous base.
b. Pipe hangers, supports and all other iron works in concealed spaces shall be thoroughly cleaned and painted with one
coat of asphalt varnished.
F. Testing and Disinfection
1. Testing
a. Water Line - Upon completion of the roughing-in and before setting fixtures, the entire water piping system shall be
tested at a hydrostatic pressure one and one half times the expected pressure in the system when in operation, 150psi or
1034 kpa minimum, for at least 2 hours.
2. Disinfection
a. The entire system shall be thoroughly flushed and disinfected with chlorine before it is placed in operation.
b. Chlorinating materials shall be liquid chlorine or hypochlorine and shall be introduced into the waterlines in a manner
approved by the Architect and Engineer.
c. The chlorine shall be such as to provide no less than fifty (50) parts per million of available chlorine. Following a
contract period of not less than sixteen (16) hours, the heavily chlorinated water shall be flushed from the system with
clean water until the residual chlorine content is no greater than two tenth ppm.
10.08 Materials:
A. All materials to be used shall conform to the standard below. Use of materials shall further be governed by other
requirements imposed on other sections of these specifications. Materials shall be subject to test necessary to ascertain
their fitness if so required.

a. PVC Fittings - PVC Compound.
b. Heat Fusion by Unitec
4. Drains :
a. Floor and Shower Drains- Stainless Steel 4"x 4" with Strainer, sample as per Engineer's approval.
b. Deck Drain - Jamman Solid Brass Dome Type
c. Roof Drain - Jamman Solid Brass Dome Type
d. Plant Box Drain – Jamman Solid Brass Dome Type
e. Canopy Drain – Jamman Solid Brass Dome Type
f. Area Draiin - Europlast drain cover and fram 300mm x 300mm by Dexterton or equal.
g. Ramp drain for parking areas- PVC drain as distributed by Camp Marketing.
For other drains not specified, submit sample for Engineer's approval.
5. Plumbing Fixtures:
All Fixtures shall be installed complete with accessories, such as tank fittings, seat and cover, angle valve, shut
off valve and supply pipe assembly and P-trap.
a. Watercloset : American Standard brand
b. Lavatory: American Standard brand
c. Urinal: American Standard brand
f. Faucet and Bibs: American Standard brand
B. Alternate Materials
Use of any materials, not specified in these specifications may be allowed provided such alternate has been approved by the
Designer and provided further that a test, if required, shall be done by an approved agency in accordance with generally
accepted standards.
C. Identification of Materials
Each length of pipe, fittings, traps, fixtures and device used in the plumbing system shall have cast, stamped or indelibly
marked on it the manufacturer's trademark or name, the weight, type and class or product when so required by the
standards mentioned above.
11.0 ELECTRICAL:
All Electrical Works shall conform to the latest edition of Philippine Electrical code, to the rules and regulations of Local and
National Authorities and the requirements of Local Utility Company concerned.
11.01 Service: See Electrical Sheets
11.02 Wiring Methods:
A. Intermediate Metal Conduits (IMC): shall be hot dip galvanized standard weight pipes, made of mild steel with smooth
circular bore and shall conform to Local and US Specifications. Conduits shall be installed in the services entrance
raceway only. Conduits shall be standard length of 3.00 meters including coupling reamed and threaded on each end.
B. Polyvinyl Chloride Pipe (PVCP) : shall be installed for all branch circuit raceways embedded in concrete slab or walls; for
all branch circuit raceways installed inside ceilings and wooden partitions; for telephone service entrance raceway; and all
auxiliary system raceways.
C. Flexible PVC conduit: shall be used for connection between junction box and recessed lighting fixture inside ceilings.
11.03 Grounding: Grounding of the electrical system shall be accomplished by connecting to nearest metal water pipe (on the street
side). In case grounding is accomplished on the house side, bonding jumper shall be provided across the water meter.
11.04 Feeders: Feeder conductors and raceways shall be installed as shown on the Drawings and no change in size shall be made
without written consent of the Designer. Feeder conductors shall be continuous, and without splices between terminals.
11.05 Branch Circuits: The Drawings indicate the general methods of installation of all circuit wiring and the outlets which are to
supplied from these circuits. Branch Circuit conduits shall be run from outlets to panel board as direct as the building
conditions will allow. Circuit allocations shall be as indicated on the Drawings. Where it becomes necessary to connect any
outlet to a circuit other than the one shown on the Drawing, this shall be done without extra charge and only upon written
consent of the Architect. No wire smaller than 1.6mm diameter shall be used for any lighting branch circuit. All lighting outlet
shall be supplied from two- wire single-phase circuits. Voltage and number of wires for other outlets shall be as indicated on
the Drawings.
11.06 Panel boards, Cabinets, Breakers in Nema Enclosure and Disconnect Switches: The Electrical Contractor shall furnish and
install circuit- breaker panel board, cabinets, breakers in NEMA Enclosures, safety switches and magnetic starter indicated on
the Plan. The Circuit breakers shall be quick-make, quick-break, thermal magnetic, trip-indicating, and have common trip on
all multiple breaker with internal tie mechanism.
11.07 Locations of Outlets and Switches: The approximate location of each fixture, receptacle, and special purpose outlet and
switch is indicated on the Drawings, the exact location to be determined later at the site as the work progresses. The right is
reserved by the Designer to change the exact location of any switch, light outlet in any room before same is installed. If any
outlet is installed by the Contractor in such a manner as to be out of proper relation to beams, walls or other details of the
building construction, its position or location shall be corrected by and at the expense of the Contractor and under the direction
of the Designer. Mounting heights of outlets and switches shall be as called for on the Drawings.
ALL MOUNTING HEIGHTS SHALL BE VERIFIED FROM THE ENGINEER BEFORE ACTUAL INSTALLATION OF
OUTLET BOXES.
11.08 Wires and Cables: The Electrical Contractor shall furnish and install a complete wiring system as shown on the Drawing. All
conductors used in the wiring system shall be soft-drawn copper wire having a conductivity of not less than 98% that of pure
copper, with 600 volt rating, unless otherwise noted.
A. No wires shall be drawn into the conduit until all work which may cause injury to the wires is completed and until
permission is given by the Designer in writing. Only powdered lubricants not injurious to cable insulation and raceways
shall be used and only when lubricants is necessary. All wires and cables for power, lighting , control and auxiliaries shall
be continuous from origin to destination without splices in intermediate pull boxes where runs do not exceed 30.48 meters
in length. Only sufficient slack shall be left at the ends of the wires and cables as may be necessary. Solder less pressure
connectors of proper size shall be used for terminals, taps and splices for all secondary voltage wires and cables except for
branch circuits. Connections shall be securely fastened and shall be such as not to loosen under vibration and normal
strain.
B. Branch Circuit splices shall be soldered, or joined by the use of insulated splicing devices (wire nuts). All soldered joints
shall be made mechanically strong before soldering and shall be carefully soldered without the use of acid, then tape with
rubber tape to a thickness equal to that of the insulation and with a covering of friction tape of two layers. Plastic tape may
be used in lieu of rubber and friction tapes. Unless otherwise indicated on Drawings, not more than the number of
conductors constituting a single circuit or branch shall be drawn in one conduit. Where solid conductors are to be
connected directly to device without use of lugs, such as those at lighting switches and plug receptacles, the wires shall be
formed into a clockwise loop to fit around the screws.
11.09 Outlet, Switch, and Junction Boxes : The Contractor shall furnish and install standard pressed steel boxes or cast metal boxes
gauge 16 deep type, at all outlets for lights, appliances, and switches and at other points as required by the construction and as
called for on the Drawings.
Boxes shall be of approved design and construction, and of such form and dimension as required to serve the kind of fixtures to
be used and the number, size and arrangement of conduits connecting thereto. The allowable conductor fill as given in Rule
2486 of the Philippine Electrical Code shall not be exceeded. Deep boxes, box rings and raised plaster covers shall be used
when necessary to obtain the required conductor capacity. Floor outlets shall have standard round adjustable boxes.
Boxes for outlets on auxiliary system shall be as specified elsewhere in these Specifications or as shown on the Drawings.
11.10 Conduit System: The Contractor shall furnish and install conduits and tubing shall be as specified in these Specifications.
Not more than four 90 degrees bends shall occur in any run. When it becomes necessary to have more than four 90 degrees
bends in any run, an intermediate pull box shall be installed to facilitate pulling in of wires.
All conduit runs shall be concealed generally in floors, ceilings and walls except feeder runs in the electrical closets shall run
exposed along walls and ceilings. Conduit runs shall be installed in such a manner as not to weaken or interfere with the
structure of the building. No horizontal runs of embedded conduit or tubing shall be permitted in solid walls and partitions.
Conduits below grade shall be encased in concrete envelope with a minimum thickness of 3 mm or embedded in floor slab.
Exposed conduits shall be run parallel to or at right angles with lines of the building. Exposed conduits shall be securely
fastened in place by means of approved supports and fastenings. Conduits supports shall be fastened to walls by means of
screws or bolts with expansion sleeves. the use of wooden or lead plugs is not permitted Conduits shall be cut by hacksaw, the
ends shall be firmly attached to cabinets or boxes by means of locknuts or bushings. Field bends shall not be allowed for rigid
steel conduits larger than 20 mm trade size.
Tubing shall not be coupled together nor connected to boxes, fittings, or cabinets by means of threads in the wall of the tubing.
Only fittings approved for the purpose shall be used. Thread less couplings and connectors used with the tubing shall be of the
concrete tight type. Field bends in tubing shall have a radius of curvature not less than those specified in the Philippine
Electrical Code. No tubing smaller than 15 mm trade size shall be used.
Conduits and tubing not embedded in concrete shall be firmly supported and fastened in place every 3.00 meters and within
900 mm of each outlet box or cabinet.
11.11 Wiring Devices: The Contractor shall furnish and install all wiring devices as indicated or as called for on the Drawings. All
switches shall be rated for current capacity not less than 100% of the current of the load controlled where switches are rated
"AC. ONLY". Refer to schedule of wiring devices on the Plans for each type, manufacturer and catalogue number. Wall
plates for telephone and intercom outlets shall have a single hole at the center.
11.12 Service Entrance Line: Exact location shall be verified with the Power Company. The Contractor shall provide and install a
complete service entrance system as shown and required on the Plans or as required for a complete system.
11.13 Metering as per Electrical Plans: The Contractor shall install meter base. Meter shall be furnished and installed by local
utility company. Deposits will be paid by the Owner.
11.14 Telephone System: The Contractor shall provide the complete telephone system including paperwork and plans that may be
required by the TELCO Company; deposit by Owner. Terminal Cabinets shall be code gauge construction and provided with
snap catch and brass lock and shall be provided with 20mm. thk. Plyboard (asphalt treated) as backboard.
All equipment and materials such as cabinet, conduit, terminal block, house and station wiring, boxes, plates, etc. shall be by
the Contractor except for the handsets.
11.15 TV Antenna System: Antenna, co-axial cable, attenuators, splitters, and other accessories or components for the complete TV
antenna system shall be furnished and installed by the Contractor.
11.16 Lighting fixtures: The contractor shall install all Owner-furnished lighting fixtures. Where the Plans call for incandescent
ceiling outlets of the screw-shell type, the ceiling receptacles shall be furnished and installed by the contractor.
11.17 Specifications of materials: Materials to be used shall conform to the standards and Specifications have been established for
the particular type of material or equipment in question:
A. US. Underwriter' Laboratories.
B. US. National Board of Fire Underwriters.
C. National Electrical Manufacturer's Association
D. Insulated Power Cable Engineers' Association.
E. American Standards Association.
F. Bureau of Standards, Ministry of Trade.
