In some countries, an increasing number of children are overweight or obese as a result of

eating too much fast food. Banning fast food from school canteens is the best way to fight
this problem. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Excessive weight gain and obesity have become major issues among children. It is argued
that schools should not be allowed to sell fast food in order to reduce the rates of childhood
obesity. Even though a straightforward ban on fast food in the school cafeteria seems to be a
positive step, I do not agree that this is the most effective measure to alleviate this problem.

Some people think that children should only read academic books. Others believe that
reading books for pleasure is equally important. Discuss both these views and give your own
opinion.
Children are often encouraged to read. However, there is a debate regarding the kind of books
that are best for them. Should children only read for educational purposes, or should they also
read for fun? In my opinion, both categories of books are equally important for children’s
development.

The best way to motivate employees is to increase their salaries. Do you agree with this
statement? Are there any other ways to encourage employees to work more efficiently?
Companies across the globe recognize the importance of motivating their staff to work more
productively. Some think that increasing salaries is the most efficient incentive. I disagree
with this opinion and argue that other methods tend to yield even better results.

In many countries, people do not recycle waste materials, such as bottles and newspapers.
What are the reasons for this, and what could be done to solve the problem?
With the increase in waste generation, garbage management is not carried out properly across
the globe.

Recycling of materials, such as glass, plastic, and cartons, is an important practice that
helps to reduce our impact on the environment. Many people across the world, however, do
not recycle their waste and send everything to landfill. This essay will discuss why this might
be the cause and how this problem can be alleviated.

In this essay, I will discuss why this might be the case and how this problem can be
alleviated.

The causes of this problem seem to lie in the lack of awareness and convenience; each should
be addressed separately.

The reasons for the lack of recycling seem to be quite simple. Firstly. In some countries,
official recycling programs either do not exist or are relatively new. People, therefore, are
generally unaware of the importance of recycling their refuse. Being used to seeing all the
rubbish going to the same bin, they simply continue to do the same, without putting too much
thought into it. Even those who understand the environmental benefits of recycling may still
be unwilling to inconvenience themselves with sorting their waste. After all, in order to
recycle something as simple as a plastic bottle or a newspaper, one needs to keep a separate
bin at home or find a public recycle bin when outside.
To encourage people to recycle more, a comprehensive public campaign is required. A good
start would be to explain to people what economic and environmental benefits recycling can
provide. This can be done via flyers delivered to each home and advertising on television.
The next step is to make recycling as easy as possible. On the streets, recycling bins should
be located next to each general rubbish bin. Home recycling should also be facilitated by
various means, such as arranging frequent collections and providing people with free
recycling bin bags.
To conclude, it is the lack of awareness about the benefits of recycling and the reluctance for
people to sort their refuse, that prevents them from engaging with this useful practice. When
they fully understand its advantages and can recycle their rubbish at home and outside easily
and quickly, I believe that many will choose to do the right thing.
Some people believe that the government spends too much money on space research while
there are still a lot of problems on the earth. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
According to some, the millions spent annually on government-funded space projects would
be better invested in addressing urgent issues on this planet. Although there are undoubtedly
many problems on Earth that need tackling, I firmly believe that diverting financial resources
from space exploration would be a mistake. These projects have brought, and will continue to
bring, great benefits to humanity.
An outstanding example of this is the remarkable improvement in our lives due to the
development of satellite technology, a direct result of space exploration. Over several
generations, satellites orbiting the Earth have not only facilitated scientific advances in areas
such as weather monitoring and navigation but have also transformed our daily lives. Thanks
to satellites, we have witnessed profound changes in the way we connect with each other,
using the internet to bridge distances and accessing international news and TV broadcasts
with unprecedented convenience, satellite technology has interconnected the world, shaping
the way we live today.
Furthermore, cutting-edge (latest) technologies initially developed for space exploration have
been successfully adapted and turned into everyday products for use on Earth. These spin-
offs (examples) cover a wide range, from comfortable memory foam mattresses to tiny
cameras on mobile phones, which were developed from efforts to make cameras smaller for
use in spacecraft. These examples illustrate how innovations originally intended for space
exploration continue to yield practical benefits to humankind.
There is no doubt that the expenditure on space research is enormous. Yet upon examining
the numerous ways humanity has benefited from it. I am convinced that it is money well
spent. The positive impact spans all aspects of human life, from earth monitoring and
industrial production to improving the quality of our life and revolutionizing our leisure time.
