The students of 'BPHC', as we dearly call it, strive
to achieve the highest levels of excellence in the
endeavours they take upon themselves. We
bring each and every students' voice to the table
and represent them in their best interest while
providing an amicable solution to all their con-
cerns. We preserve and protect the culture and
legends of our University for future generations.
They are the torch bearers of our college who
take upon the task of ensuring the vibrant cul-
ture of the BITSian community is upheld perpet-
ually.

STUDENTS’ UNION COUNCIL


The Students' Union Council of BITS Hyderabad,
is a body of representatives elected by the stu-
dent community. It acts as a bridge between the
students and the administration and is respon-
sible for the smooth functioning of campus ac-
tivities. The Council comprises: The President,
The General Secretary, Cultural Secretaries and
the Sports Secretaries. The 6 elected represen-
tatives assisted by their team, work for the
all-round development of the campus.

OFFICIAL DIVISIONS
ADMISSIONS DIVISION
The Admissions Division Student Nucleus is the first stu-
dent body to communicate with the incoming batch. Their
goal is to make the admission process as smooth and
easy as possible. This year, the ADSN includes students
from all facets of the university so they are ready to
answer any questions you may have. Don't hesitate to ask
them anything.

AUGSD
The Academic - Undergraduate Studies Division (AUGSD)
is the department that aids with the process of registra-
tion of courses at the beginning of every semester. Amidst
the chaos that ensues during registration, AUGSD works
tirelessly to ensure that all the clashes in each and every
student’s timetables are resolved and students could
head into the semester stress-free.

AGSRD
Academic - Graduate Studies and Research Division
(AGSRD) deals with the PH.D programmes offered by all
the three campuses of BITS. This division also inter-coordi-
nates with deans and associate deans.

CCIT
Computer Centre & Information Technology (CCIT) at
BPHC ensures that everyone on campus is connected to
each other and to the outside world. The IPC also main-
tains five labs loaded with Ubuntu) and Windows and
open to students during office hours, and a 24x7 online
portal, IT Call Log.

IPCD
The International Programmes and Collaboration Division
provides students with various opportunities for thesis op-
portunities and student exchange programmes by col-
laborating with various reputed universities abroad.

PLACEMENT DIVISION
Placement Division (PD) coordinates the placement pro-
cess across all the three BITS campuses. These units of
each campus are managed by student volunteers.

PRACTICE SCHOOL DIVISION


This division deals with the Practice Schools I and II. It col-
laborates and approaches various companies for various
opportunities to be made available for the students. These
companies are then listed allowing students to select a
company as per their needs and requirements, providing
them with their best match.

STUDENT WELFARE DIVISION


SWD helps you with the various student needs that you
face in college. The SWD Portal is the website which will be
providing you~ with certificates, day-to-day information,
option to select the mess that you want and much more.
SWD also has student representatives who are available
to you at all times for solving your queries.

COMMITTEES, COUNCILS
AND FORUMS
ICC
The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) is a body that deals
with cases pertaining to sexual harassment and abuse. They
are an easily approachable Committee that handles such
cases with maximum levels of sensitivity and care, taking the
most appropriate action suitable for each and every case. An-
onymity of the complainant is strictly assured, if that’s what
they have demanded for, along with providing counselling to
the complainant to the best of their capacities if they have
been mentally disturbed by the incident, as the comfort of the
complainant is the top priority of the ICC.

SGRC
The Students’ Grievance Redressal Committee that con-
sists of professors and a student representative who takes
note and resolves any of the grievances students face on
campus. If any student has any grievances, they can mail
the professors or approach the student representative of
the committee directly.

CRC
The Corroboration and Review Committee is a 6-mem-
bered neutral body. The CRC verifies all the income and
expenses of the Student Union Council (including the 4
major annuals fests). The CRC is also responsible for re-
viewing and approving budgets for the above activities, as
well as maintaining and enforcing BPHC procedures
manual.

EC
The Election Commission (EC) is a six-member, indepen-
dent and autonomous body of the Students' Union (SU). It
is responsible for holding free and fair elections for all the
organs of the SU and making sure the constitution is
upheld by all the position holders. The EC also moderates
the General Body meetings (GBMs).

SMC
The Students’ Mess Council (SMC) is a 5 member council
responsible for looking after the mess menu, along with
negotiating prices of the per day meal and ensuring
smooth functioning of the mess. They take feedback on
the quality of different food and mess menu from the Gen-
eral Body. Facilities like ANC, and special dinners on vari-
ous occasions are provided by the SMC.

VMC
The Vendor Management Committee (VMC) is responsi-
ble for looking after all the contracts of the vendors and
food outlets, along with negotiating prices of the items
they serve and ensuring their smooth functioning. They
take feedback on the quality of different food and services
provided by these vendors on campus from the General
Body and make decisions based on the feedback they re-
ceive.

BITSAA
BITSAA (BITS Alumni Association) International Inc. is a
non-profit organization. BITSAA’s main goal is to indulge in
campaigns aimed at helping out the current BITS stu-
dents. It participates in charitable and educational activi-
ties by raising funds and promoting development of all
the BITS campuses.

RAF
Recreational Activities Forum (RAF) is responsible for a
multitude of recreational activities for students and facul-
ty. From the moment you enter college, RAF befriends you
with your freshman orientation, to the moment you
become ready to leave your college behind, RAF bids you
adieu with a beautiful Bon Voyage. Other than these, RAF
also organises match and movie screenings, trips and
bunch of other exciting activities.

The technical senate comprises all the technical
associations and technical/academic oriented
clubs. Each branch has its own technical associa-
tions and there also exists clubs associated with
these branches. Both the assocs and clubs orga-
nize talks, student-faculty interactions, events and
competitions in ATMOS and workshops which are

senate is also responsible for organizing the tech
fest of BPHC- ATMOS.

The Association of Chemical Engineers is a body of students of the Depart-
ment of Chemical Engineering who involve and cater to the discussions
regarding chemical engineering on the campus by conducting events, work-
shops, webinars, conferences, outings and industrial visits. Furthermore, we
help students for research in chemical engineering by publishing review
articles in International journals and also help students collaborate with the
faculty for developmental and long-term projects.

CEA
Our aim at the Civil Engineering Association, BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus is to
give first-hand exposure and create a technical learning environment in the oldest
engineering stream in the world. Members will be exposed to a variety of scenarios
and projects which will sharpen their practical civil engineering skills and put their
thinking abilities to test. CEA organizes talks with seniors, faculty, alumni and
industrial experts who are excelling in their respective specializations. We love to
organize workshops, competitions and other events relevant to Civil Engineering.

CRUx is the Programming and Computing Club of BPHC. We are involved in
the development of several projects like the Android and iOS CMS apps, Chro-

SEDS
Students for Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS) is a non-profit inter-
national, student-led organization that strives to promote space advocacy and
development. SEDS BPHC, a chapter of SEDS India, is the rocketry and aerospace
club of BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus which was established in April 2019. We
participate in two major international competitions: The Spaceport America Cup
(SA Cup) and The Cansat competition - organized by the American Astronautical
Society (AAS) - where we are represented by Team Janus. The team work on each
project is divided into various subsystems: Avionics, Propulsion, Structure,
Payload, Recovery, Operations and Outreach.

BPHC is home to various sports that keep the courts


clamouring at sunrise and daybreak. From amicable
matches, to combating it out on court, BPHCians per-
sistently practice their adoration for sports regardless
of how huge the stakes are. Arena, our yearly sports
fest, sees wide support from universities the whole
way across the nation and is an astounding open door
for athletes to put their skills to implementation. Rixa
is another one of our sports fests between the hostel
blocks of our campus. Workshops relating to different
sports are likewise conducted throughout the year, in
this way outfitting you with new and honed abilities.

The SAC has courts for badminton and squash, chess


boards, carrom boards and table tennis tables. Our
grounds have the offices to play numerous open-air
sports, which incorporate lawn tennis courts, a foot-
ball ground, a hockey ground, a volleyball court that
also functions as a throwball court, a kabaddi ground
and a cricket ground. Additionally, a new football
ground and swimming pool facilities have been fully
constructed, awaiting use by the students.

Regardless of whether you're only intrigued and have


never taken a stab at a specific game, don't stop for a
second to begin now. Regardless of whether you are a
prepared player, or an amateur, take advantage of
each chance to get your adrenaline rushing.

The cultural senate is home to a large number of
clubs that cater to a myriad of hobbies ranging
from music and dance to quizzing and even cook-
ing. These clubs organize a number of events
throughout the year for its members and work-

PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB
Photography Club is a club where everyone interested in learning the skill of
photography comes together; be it an experienced person or an enthusiast.
We gather together to build and improvise on this skill set, which includes
phone photography, camera handling, and editing skills but isn't limited to

Umang is the regional association for BITSians of Gujarat. We at Umang strive to aggre-

Utkal Samaj is the regional association for the people of Odisha or anyone speaking
Odia on campus. This is a community which turns strangers into a family by letting

depict the culture of Odisha through their awestruck performances spanning over
