CHAPTER 1
Introduction
- Discussion must be from general to specific (macro level to micro level)
- Visit K to 12 to look for legal basis to be applied
- Suggested to break down the integration in every quarter, there must be output every quarter
- Include the reason why trying to integrate research activities in Science
- Add / Include the discussion about development of supplementary research activities
- Strengthen the justification why is really there is a need to conduct of the study
Background of the Study

- Discuss the observation / difficulty encountered
- Include the gap observed and discuss how to fill in the gaps
- Incorporate the discussion about the supplementary research activities
- Incorporate readings, literature and some studies in relation to the study
Scope and Limitation of the Study

- The discussion should answer 5Ws and H (What, When, Where, Who, Why and How)
questions
- State the limitation of the study
- Consider the three groups of experts – research, teachers in Science and Language experts
Statement of the Problem

Discussion of Expected Output and Justification
- Focus the discussion on the output of the study- supplementary research activities in Science 8
- Discuss the uniqueness and special features of the output of the study
- There must be output in every end of the quarter
Theoretical Framework
- Change the theory
- Look for appropriate theory for the study
- Define and state the proponent of the theory
- Discuss the relationship and relevance or the significance of the theory to the study
Conceptual Framework
- Change and align the model based on the new title and SOP
- Discuss the model or paradigm thoroughly
The Variables, Their Definition and Importance to the Study

- Include all the variables as presented in the new title and Statement of the Problem
- Discuss the variables as presented by at least 2 literature and 2 related studies for each
variable
- Observe the recency of the readings, related literature and studies (10 years backward)
Definition of Terms
- Each variable must be operationally defined or if conceptually defined the source must be
acknowledged
- Terms are in alphabetical order

- Define the design and discuss the relevance to the study
Setting of the Study

- Include the activities and projects conducted in relation to Science and research
Subject of the Study

- Discuss the primary subject which is the supplementary research activities in Science
- Discuss the sampling technique in the selection of the experts
- Consider the qualifications of the experts
Procedure of the Study

- Follow the process referring to the Statement of the Problem and Conceptual Framework
- Use Gantt Chart of Activities as guide in step-by-step process of the conduct of the study
