    The Gujarat State Chess Association is organizing the Gujarat State U-17 (Open & Girls) Selection for the National Chess Championship in 2024. The selection tournament will take place on May 25-26, 2024 at the Sports Club in Ahmedabad. Players born on or after January 1, 2007 are eligible to participate. The top two players in each category will represent Gujarat at the National tournament in Chandigarh.

    Venue : Sports Club, Sardar Patel Stadium, Navrangpura, A'bad.
    Date : 25th & 26th May, 2024
    Reporting Time : 10:00 a.m. SHARP on 25.5.2024
    Entry Fee : Rs.600/- (Last Date: 23.5.2024 till 6:00 p.m.)
    Entry after 23.5.2024 will be charged late fee of Rs.100/-
    and entertained upto 24.5.2024 ONLY.
    Age Limit : Players should be born on or after 1.1.2007
    Chess Set/Clock : Provided by us.
    Prizes : Open Category: Rs.8000/- + Trophy for Top THREE
    1st: Rs.2500/-, 2nd: Rs.2000/-, 3rd: Rs.1500/-, 4th: Rs.1100/-, 5th: 900/-
    Girls Category: Rs.5000/- + Trophy for Top THREE
    1st: Rs.1500/-, 2nd: Rs.1100/-, 3rd: Rs.1000/-, 4th: Rs.800/-, 5th: Rs.600/-
