You are in the 4th week of the 4 th Quarter in learning Inquiries, Investigation and Immersion. This lesson focuses on how to
write a clear report of the parts of your and submit a final written research report.
After conducting the survey among the respondents, the researchers perform data collection and interpretation, draws
findings based on the collected data, forms logical conclusions and recommendations and comes up with the written
research report.
Written Research Report
● It is the final outcome of the research
● Its quality of the report largely contributes to the quality of the research
● It should follow a pattern of style that has become conventional in academic/professional circles
● It is a systematic attempt s to answer questions and solve problems. It includes activities like planning, research,
organization and presentation
● It is a systematic write up on the findings of the study including methodologies, discussion, conclusion etc. following a
definite style
● This report communicates information which has been compiled as a result of research and analysis of data and of
issues
● It can cover wide range of topics but usually focus on transmitting information with a clear purpose, to a specific
audience
● This report is a document that is accurate, objective and complete
1. A research paper presents the results of the researcher’s investigation on a selected topic.
2. An authentic research paper is a write-up that is uniquely owned by the researcher.
3. The researcher’s experience of gathering, interpreting and documenting information, developing and organizing ideas and
conclusions, and communicating them clearly will not prove to be an important and satisfying part of the researcher’s learning.
4. A good research paper should reflect the amount of effort spent on it and should show usual results.
5. It is said that first impressions are everything that is why the researcher’s paper should not appear scholarly.

Zoe Bain (March 2012) said that even though Ampalaya is not good in taste many countries find several and unique ways
of their own to enjoy this food on their tables. For example in China, ampalaya is a vital ingredient of the soups and teas they
are preparing. It serves as bitter adding agent for their food.

Example:
According to the study entitled “A feasibility study on the production of Ampalaya cupcakes”, conducted by Adaya et.
al (March 2012), a cupcake which contain ampalaya extracts helps in promoting nutritional and proper diet to its target market.
The said study showed on the survey that almost 23% of its target market was willing to buy their product and has 14.11% of the
market share from the total demand of cupcakes which make the study feasible to the market.
