and morality of a person.
Morality pertains to one’s ability to decide what is good or bad.
Moralism approach also deals with the mental and emotional health of
the reader, as both are required to fully understand what is the message
or lesson that the literature wants to give.
Moralistic Approach also determines if a literature is true to words in
what its contents are. Reject what is bad, and accept what is good, This
is the idea that literature that aims to destroy is lying or false
propaganda.
Marxism Approach is used to judge how the literature gave examples
and imagery to the working class in the era it was written on.
It is very political and controversial, as it’s inventor, Karl Marx was an
activist, social reformist, and a journalist.
“Literature is(can) be propaganda” – Karl Marx
Karl Marx was born on 1818 and died on 1883.
Marxism approach was limited a lot due to most societies having
different beliefs on what is rich and what is poor.
However, it was considered one of the most effective ways to
determine and expose different hierarchies and corruption in periods
that experienced them.
