GUIDELINES FOR VIRTUAL ONLINE TEST - GRADES 6 TO 12


REQUIREMENTS
Please go through the instructions given below:
1) The online test will be conducted using Microsoft Teams.
2) We request you to use Desktop/Laptop for the Virtual test and many tools are unavailable if accessed
through mobile phones.
3) A UPS (uninterrupted power supply) connection is recommended. Make sure the webcam and
microphone are checked in advance and are in working condition. If mobile data is used the test may
get interrupted and disabled.
4) You will need a mobile or scanner to scan the completed answer sheet pages in sequence after the
examination and upload the answer sheets on Teams.
5) All other requirements should be tested prior to the exam.
6) Each test is for 65 minutes with 10 minutes for uploading.
7) Timings of the test will be notified shortly.
8) All students will have normal classes during the day.
9) Materials required: Writing material and sheets of paper (blank /ruled). Please write Name, Class,
Section, Roll no., Subject, Date and page number (on the top right-hand corner of each side of each
sheet). Graph sheet for Math if required and Map for Social Science if required must be placed on the
table in front of the student during the test.
10) In case a student faces a technical glitch or login issue before commencement of the test, parents
should immediately send an email to [email protected] and inform the school before 8:10am.
11) The school reserves the right to decide the future course of action on a case by case basis.
12) The test will be declared null and void, if a student uses unfair means to write the test, like using any
electronic device, printed/written material, taking help from someone at home, etc., or any means
that is noticed during the invigilation.
13) The test will be declared null and void, if a student logs off during the test, switches off the camera
while the test is going on or goes offline during the process of uploading the test paper.
14) In case a student forgets to upload all the sheets of paper, marks will be awarded only for the sheets
uploaded.
15) No re-tests will be conducted for students who are absent due to health issues, or other personal
reasons.

Before the Exam

Please make the following room arrangements ready before the exam.
1. The student should be seated comfortably at a table. No person is allowed to enter the room unless
help is needed for technical reasons.
2. The desktop/laptop can be placed on the table with enough space for the student to keep their answer
paper and writing material.
3. Students are not permitted to leave their seats until the test is over.
(In the event of an emergency, please notify the invigilator through your microphone on MS Teams.
4. Candidates need to login to MS Teams 5 minutes before the commencement of the examination and
turn on Video and Audio in MS Teams and keep them turned on throughout the test. The entire
process will be recorded on MS Teams.
5. Students also need to login to their Microsoft office id and be ready in order to access the Forms quiz
link.
6. Textbooks, Notebooks, Mobile phones, Bluetooth, smart watches and any other electronic devices
must be turned off and put away, and cannot be kept with the student or accessed. Students are not
permitted to open any other tab on their system other than Office 365 and Teams. Mobile phones are
permitted at end of the session to take photographs of the answer sheets for uploading.

During the Exam


1. Students will receive the test meeting link two days prior to the test. Students need to verify whether
they have received the invite on their calendar. If the invite is not received, they need to inform their
class teacher one day before the test.
2. The invigilator will give instructions on the steps to be taken before the start of the test.
3. Details of the Exam
o The test will have an MCQ section for 10 marks and a Subjective section for 20 Marks- Total 30
Marks.
o Time allotted is 1.15 hours: 15 min for the MCQ, 50 minutes for the Subjective – Pen Paper Test
and 10 mins to Scan and upload the answer sheet of subjective test.

4. At the end of the time limit set for the examination the question paper will get disabled.

After the Exam


1. Students need to arrange the answer sheets in order, specify the total no: of pages used on the first
page of the answer script and ensure that all pages are uploaded.
2. Students should Scan/photograph the sheets one by one in order and attach the image file under
respective the Assignment folder of that subject.
