TheRealScan78verticalscanwindowismountedtoatowerthatrises abovethecheckstandsurface.Theupperconsoleisdesignedto withstandconstantimpactfromitemsbeingscanned.Thehorizontal scanwindowisflushmountedtoastainlesssteeltopplate,permitting userstoslideaproductacrossthetopplatewithoutliftingtheproduct.
