श्रीभगवानुवाच
त्वया यदभयं दत्तं तद्दत्तमखिलं मया ।
मत्तोऽविभिन्नमात्मानं द्रष्टुमर्हसि शङ्कर ॥ ४७
viṣṇu purāṇa 5.33.47
bhagavāna kṛṣṇa said:
Whatever fearlessness you have been given, I have given it
all. Therefore, O śaṃkara, you should see yourself as
inseparable from me.
From Viṣṇu Purāṇa

योऽहं स त्वं जगच्चेदं सदेवासुरमानुषम् ।


मत्तो नान्यदशेषं यत्तत्त्वं ज्ञातुमिहार्हसि ॥ ४८
viṣṇu purāṇa 5.33.48
BHAGAVĀNA KṚṢṆA SAID:
YOU SHOULD UNDERSTAND THAT WHATEVER I AM, YOU
ARE ALSO, AND THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE
ENTIRE WORLD, THE GODS, DEMONS, AND HUMANS -
THEY ARE ALL NOT SEPARATE FROM ME.
From Viṣṇu Purāṇa

अविद्यामोहितात्मानः पुरुषा भिन्नदर्शिनः ।


वदन्ति भेदं पश्यन्ति चावयोरन्तरं हर ॥ ४९
प्रसन्नोऽहं गमिष्यामि त्वं गच्छ वृषभध्वज ॥ ५०
viṣṇu purāṇa 5.33.49, 50
O HARA! THOSE WHOSE MINDS ARE DELUDED BY
IGNORANCE PERCEIVE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN US. O
VRISHABHADHWAJA! I AM PLEASED, PLEASE COME, AND I
SHALL ALSO DEPART NOW. || 49-50 |
From nārada purāṇ a 3.59
श्रीसनक उवाच
अभेददर्शी देवेशे नारायणशिवात्मके ।।
सर्वं यो ब्रह्मण नित्यमस्मदादिषु का कथा ।। ३-५९ ।।
śrīsanaka uvāca:
A person who looks upon bhagavāna nārāyaṇa and śiva
equally without any discrimination is always saluted by
bhagavāna brahmā.
ŚRĪMAD BHĀGAVATA PURĀṆ A 4.7.50

श्रीभगवानुवाच
अहं ब्रह्मा च शर्वश्च जगत: कारणं परम् ।
आत्मेश्वर उपद्रष्टा स्वयंद‍ृगविशेषण: ॥
Lord Viṣṇu replied: Brahmā, Lord Śiva and I are the
supreme cause of the material manifestation. the
Supersoul, the self-sufficient witness. There is no difference
between Brahmā, Lord Śiva and Me.
PADMA PURĀṆ 2.71.19–21

ते यांति परमं स्थानं तद्विष्णोः परमं पदम् |


शैवं च वैष्णवं रूपमेकरूपं नरोत्तम || १९ ||
द्वयोश्च अंतरं नास्ति एकरूपमहात्मनोः |
शिवाय विष्णुरूपाय शिवरूपाय विष्णवे || २० ||
शिवस्य हृदयं विष्णुर्विष्णोश्च हृदयं शिवः |
एकमूर्तिस्त्रयो देवा ब्रह्मविष्णुमहेश्वराः || २१ ||
That is the highest position of Viṣ ṇ u. O king, the form of Śiva and that of Viṣ ṇ u
are identical. There is no difference between the glorious two, who are of the
same form. (One can) salute Śiva of the form of Viṣ ṇ u and Viṣ ṇ u of the form of
Śiva. Viṣ ṇ u is the heart of Śiva, and Śiva is the heart of Viṣ ṇ u. The three devas
Brahmā, Viṣ ṇ u, and Śiva are (just) one form.
harivaṃśa purāṇa2.125.29

शिवाय विष्णुरूपाय विष्णवे शिवरुपिने |


यथान्तरं न पश्यामि तेन तौ दिशतः शिवम् ||२९
MĀRKAṆḌEYA SAID:
I DO NOT SEE ANY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ŚIVA IN THE
FORM OF VIṢṆU AND VIṢṆU IN THE FORM OF ŚIVA.
THEY PROVIDE AUSPICIOUSNESS TO THE WORLD.
harivaṃśa purāṇa 2.125.40

देवौ हरिहरौ स्तोष्ये ब्राह्मण सह संगतौ |


एतौ च परमौ देवौ जगतः प्रभवाप्ययौ ||४०
I WORSHIP THE LORDS HARI VIṢṆU AND HARA
(ŚIVA) ALONG WITH BRAHMĀ. THEY ARE THE
SUPREME LORDS, RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CREATION
AND DESTRUCTION OF THE WORLD.
harivaṃśa purāṇa 2.125.41

रुद्रस्य परमो विष्णुर्विष्णोश्चा परमः शिवः |


एक एव द्विधाभूतो लोके चरति नित्यशः || ४१

HE SUPREME LORD OF RUDRA (ŚIVA) IS VIṢṆU AND


THE SUPREME LORD OF VIṢṆU IS ŚIVA (RUDRA).
THE SAME LORD IS MOVING IN THE WORLD
ALWAYS IN TWO FORMS.
harivaṃśa purāṇa 2.125.42

न विनशङ्करं विष्णुर्ना विना के शवं शिवः |


तस्मादेकत्वमायतौ रुद्रोपेन्द्रौ तु तौ पुरा |
नमो रुद्राय कृ ष्णाय नमः संहताचारिणे ||४२
VIṢṆU DOES NOT EXIST WITHOUT ŚAṂKARA (ŚIVA) AND
ŚIVA DOES NOT EXIST WITHOUT KEŚAVA(VIṢṆU). HENCE,
RUDRA (ŚIVA) AND UPENDRA (KṚṢṆA - VIṢṆU) HAVE
ATTAINED ONENESS, SINCE LONG BEFORE.I BOW TO
RUDRA (ŚIVA). I BOW TO KṚṢṆA. I BOW TO THE ONE
MOVING IN THE COMBINED FORM.
brahmā purāṇa 56.70
श्रीभगवानुवाच
यो रुद्रः स स्वयं विष्णुर्यो विष्णुः स महेश्वरः ।
उभयोरन्तरं नास्ति पवनाकाशयोरिव ॥ ५६.७०।
ŚRĪBHAGAVĀN UVĀCA:
HE WHO IS RUDRA IS HIMSELF VIṢṆU. HE WHO IS
VIṢṆU IS HIMSELF, RUDRA. THERE IS NO
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO IN REGARD TO
THE WIND AND ETHER.
