learnings specially in law enforcement line of work. The police station 3 was also the
first agency where I was deployed during my internship and this is as eye opener

On the first day I was assigned to lead the team by our intern supervisor
PEMS Christy Ignacio he immediately give us a quick briefing what to do and what
not inside the Police Station. Nothing really compares when you experience the work
on what do you aspire one day to become, I am really grateful having the opportunity
even at a very short period of time serving the public, I am also really glad for the
new gift of knowledge that the Talomo Police Station provide on us this really indeed
an inspiring moment for me and for us UM Criminology interns. I know to myself that
there are still a lot of things that I need to learn for me to prepare myself in my future
field of endeavor, on the career path I am planning to tract. It is with humble pleasure
And with a heavy heart after my 2 weeks internship inside the premises of
Police Station 3 I know to myself that soon enough I will become a regular member
of the PNP organization and because of this exposure I know to myself that I can
The BJMP was the third agency that I was deployed during my internship. I
already have a lot of speculation by this time what to expect inside, entering one of
the most secured facilities in Davao City.
The very first day when we got in, we are instructed to go to the BJMP
Regional Office to join the flag ceremony. This was the first time I to go to BJMP
that’s why I don’t have any idea of what kind of area and environment this BJMP
has. We’ve thought that the persons who are wearing white t-shirt and pants are also
interns too. My team was assigned at the BJMP. We are told to go to the warden’s
office, we are warmly welcomed by the warden. He introduces his self and we
introduce our self to him. The warden also told us about the do’s and don’ts of BJMP
Mail Dormitory.
After that, he called his personnel who are assigned to different section to orient us
about their section. I was amazed when they say that their office was inside the
compound of the Person’s Deprive of Liberty (PDL). In my 2 weeks duty in BJMP
DCJ-MD, I learned a lot about their job and what life of the pdl’s has inside the
compound. Before I was thinking that when we say prison, I think that it was
dangerous to go inside. But when I experience to roam around with the jail officer,
some of them are courteous. I also observe the effort of our government to
rehabilitate and transform the lives of our PDL to return their normal way of life.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency is the very least agency that I have knowledge
with maybe because of the factor that it is a very secretive agency which notorious on the campaign
against illegal drugs. They work in silent and very swift on their operations.
PDEA XI made me experience teaching students and spreading awareness by conducting
room-to-room Drug Abuse Preventive Education in many Elementary schools which enhances my
capability and skills in communication and teaching. The DAPE is a vital program to educate young
students and bring awareness about the negative effects of illegal drugs and how they can ruin the
lives of every individual. As an intern student who participated and was one of the lecturers who
taught and brought awareness to the students about illegal drugs and shared my knowledge about
them, it's very heartwarming because I knew that through this activity, we saved many lives and
helped them avoid being involved in the use of illegal drugs. While discussing the given topic with the
students, I witnessed some students who are already aware of illegal drugs and have already seen
different types of drugs. According to them, they already knew it because of the residents where they
lived, and they are being exposed to places where illegal drugs are rampant. This situation serves as
an eye-opener for them that using illegal drugs brings negative effects to our lives, but at the same
time, it frightens me because the exposure they experience might lead them to use illegal drugs.
I want to express my sincere thanks for the opportunity they were provided to provide us with
knowledge and experiences we might utilize in our future jobs and enable us to avoid ignorance in the
field.
I was the team leader of my group and was tasked also by our intern
coordinator to be the master ceremony for the event and at the same time the sports
coordinator. I felt nervous this was my first time. I had doubts but I know I can handle
this task.
When the D-day comes the flow of the event run smoothly, I discover from
that moment that I also have this kind of talent that maybe I need to flourished. It is
with great thanks that I was given the chance to handle this kind of responsibility.
Because of this internship experience I learned new skills and enhance more my
leadership skills.
premier law enforcement agency in the country which is notorious on its secretive
function by nature. In the NBI I found the most application in our field here in
amazed by this agency for its peculiarity and confidentiality. When we enter the gate
a lot of clients were waiting their priority number to be called. We had our briefing
first by the intern supervisor. I was assigned at the clearance section to assist the
personnel. This section is one of the busiest sections in NBI because of the clients
encounter different of people. I was challenge because there are other clients didn’t
understand and didn’t know how to speak bisaya or tagalog language. Others cannot
understand what you instruct to them and the most very important thing is I must not
We spent our two weeks of internship in the SPMC fire station reminiscing my
ROTC officer days, The training is no longer new to me but still excites me. As a fire
intern in this agency, the most thrilling aspect for me was when we practiced the
three rappelling techniques standard rappelling, Australian rappelling, and lizard
rappelling), which are all challenging to me. We also performed the LPG lighting and
we turn it off using our thumbs. We also performed how to put out the fire using the
fire extinguisher. On the other hand, we also performed zero visibility which tests our
trust and camaraderie with each other. Moreover, we also performed the wet training
practice and hose throwing which we enjoyed. I also appreciated how they handled
the interns.
I really like the practice in the BFP because I have a lot of experience and it
is applicable the real life. Even though it is hard and danger but I really tried my best
so that I can completely conquered my fear. With those activities, I develop my skills
and loss my fear in mind. It is hard but I just follow the instruction of our instructor in
as expected I did it well. We are being treated as family members. I am proud
because even If the time is short, I learned a lot and I can use it to the future
purposes.
They have rules, the programs that are well-organized, and the instructors

are highly approachable for each activity. Despite being busy on the job, they
volunteer their time to train the interns. We are also taught how to respond to victims
and how to manage them in basic first aid. In the event of a disaster or accident, this
agency can really employ the knowledge we have gained. This priceless experience
of mine has greatly shaped me, and I can apply the information I've learned in an
emergency.
On our first day in barangay 76-A, the intern site supervisor Sir Alexander
Mamba instructed the interns to join the flag-raising ceremony, and he gives
instructions to the interns to proceed to the S.I.R Elementary School. Sir Mamba
divided the groups into 5 teams which will be assigned to the pedestrian lane,
Highschool department, the barangay, the elementary gate, and lastly inside the
elementary school to conduct roving. The intern site supervisor oriented us regarding
the dos and don’ts. In our two weeks of internship at barangay 76-A, I am grateful to
help the students and teachers. We conducted a community service where we make
a pathway for the students and teachers to cross to other buildings which is a great
help for them, especially in rainy seasons. Our group also donated 5 sacks of
cement for the beautification of the school pathway. Though my hands-on
experience in this barangay is not well practiced because of their busy schedule still I
am grateful to them for accepting us in our internship program, especially to our
intern supervisor who supports and help us unconditionally.
