Due to the lack of knowledge, skills and work experience that puts students at a
disadvantage, as part of the programme, DepEd has made it a requirement for them to attain
hands-on experience through work
simulation of their chosen track to give
them greater opportunities to apply their
knowledge and capabilities. With the
help of D.O 30 s, 2017 which provides
the Guidelines for Work Immersion as
basis for the Implementation of Work
Immersion in all Senior High School
students, it can help schools to acquire its
goals.

“To the world you may be just a teacher, but to your students you are a Hero”.
A quotation that describes how significant a teacher to all of us. Last October 4, 2023
Hawilian National High school celebrated National Teachers’ Month Celebration
Culmination Program. It started at exactly six o’clock in the morning and the teachers
had their tree planting activity near the tree park. After that there was a free coffee and
pandesal. At 7:00 o’clock, all of the students lined and gathered on the ground where
the program was held. With Ms. Mary Ann C. Ayento as the emcee, she introduced
Ms. Ferlie D. Ocier for her opening prayer then the singing of all teachers followed it,
after them the Himig Hawinians also sang for the teachers. Then Samantha Nicole
Melicado also gave a prayer for the teachers. After that, the Himig Hawinians also
sang the Philippine National Anthem, Caraga Hymn and Agusan Hymns. Along with
the students, it followed by a spoken poetry given by Ms. Tricia Marie Guevarra.
After all that, Ms. Julia Felicity Vera Cajepe gave her closing message as the
program ended and all went smoothly. The students got back to their respective
classrooms along with the teachers. After the restoration, the classes resume. Special
thanks to the active SSLG officers of Hawilian National High School who
spearheaded this activity. It was indeed a successful one.
