    Unit test 5 audio script

    Audio script
    The other day, someone asked me to describe my
    favourite place in the world. I thought of a place in the
    Scottish Highlands. It’s where my grandparents live. It’s
    in the countryside. Their house is at the bottom of a
    beautiful mountain. There are the most beautiful
    mountains in the world in Scotland. Well, that’s what I
    think! I love climbing the mountains. There are also the
    bluest lakes in the world! They’re beautiful, but they are
    also very cold! I sometimes swim in the lakes in the
    summer. But only on a hot day! The Scottish Highlands
    has got the freshest air in the world. With all that fresh
    air, I always sleep well – much better than at my flat in
    the city. I love it.

    I live and work in a city. There are many wonderful


    things about city life, I love the cafés and the theatres. I
    love the shops and museums. There is an amazing
    cathedral in my city and there are great art galleries. But
    I really love going to visit my grandparents in the
    Scottish Highlands. The sky is clearer in the mountains
    than in the city and it isn’t as noisy as in the city. In the
    city, it is busier! When I stay with my grandparents, we
    often don’t see any people for days and it’s so quiet. I
    do a lot more exercise and I eat healthier food when I’m
    in the mountains and I also read and relax more.

    I think the best thing is to live in a busier place like a city


    and then spend some weekends and holidays in the
    mountains. Life is more exciting in the city than the
    Scottish Highlands, because of all the people and things
    to do. But it’s more peaceful in the mountains. I like a
    little of both!
