As the 12th-largest nation in the world, the Philippines has a population of

more than 100 million people spread over 7,000 islands, presenting several electricity

infrastructures challenges. By the year 2015, the country faced growing concerns over

resource adequacy in its power sector, as the nation is challenged to add supply

quickly enough to keep up with growing demand (Supply shortages lead to rolling
[4]
power outages in the Philippines,2015). It imposes a significant load on electricity

bills due to its considerable demand for power consumption. Electricity consumption

in the Philippines increased to 94,370 gigawatt hours (GWh) in 2017, the Department

of Energy (DoE) said. Power use in Luzon rose 3.58 percent to 69,625 GWh from

67,221 GWh; Visayas, up 5.8 percent to 12,942 GWh from 12,232 GWh; and

Mindanao, up 4.04 percent to 11,804 GWh from 11,345 GWh. [5]

This piezoelectric power generator is particularly useful in areas where a large

number of people are exerting pressure on it. By exploiting the piezoelectric effect

wherein mechanical pressure generates electrical charge this technology effectively

converts the kinetic energy from walking, running and other forms of pressure into

usable electricity. It is stated that A piezoelectric sensor is an electric device that

measures acceleration, pressure, or force and converts that information into an electric

signal. [6]

This study aims to generate a piezoelectric power generator that uses

piezoelectric device to stimulate electricity with pressure. This will also involve

testing the amount of pressure and number of steps needed to generate enough

electricity to power up a single bulb. This will ensure the piezoelectric power

generator to generate enough electricity to light up a bulb. Specifically, the goal if this
study is to lessen the electric bill and the overconsumption of electricity, giving the

electricity needed with just footprint

METHODOLOGY

The researchers will use a True-experimental Quantitative Research Design. This

design is suitable for the study since participants are not selected randomly. It determines the

voltage produced by the device. It also involves the manipulation of the independent variable

to obtain the desire data. According to Creswell (2012). To conduct a quantitative study,

researchers typically rely on an experimental design, which involves systematically

manipulating variables and observing their effects on a measurable outcome. This approach

allows for precise measurement and analysis of data, making it a widely used and trusted

method in scientific research. By controlling for extraneous variables and random factors,

researchers can draw meaningful conclusions about the relationships between different

variables, and make predictions about how they might behave under different conditions. In

this study it involves numerical and statistical analysis. It draws conclusions from

quantitative data.

To create piezoelectric technology, the 2WO2G Bridge Rectifier rectifies the AC

output of the piezoelectric sensor into DC, which is then passed through a single channel 5 V

Relay Module. After the capacitor reaches a sufficient voltage, the rechargeable battery pack

will be charged using it. The 7812 voltage regulator letter IC is connected to the battery

pack's output to stabilize the voltage at 12 volts, which powers the Arduino Uno and allows it

to control the relay module. The battery pack's output is also connected to a 7805 test

regulator IC, which fixes the voltage at 5 volts for charging a phone, and to an inverter, which

transforms 12 volts DC into 224 AC, which powers a lightbulb.

The study will be conducted at Zamboanga del Sur National High School. In this

study we will purchase the materials at Valliant Shop Pagadian City. This includes four (4)

piezoelectric crystal material, resistors, capacitors, transistors, cables and connectors, diodes,
PCB and breadboards, LED, transformer/ adapter, push buttons, switch, IC, IC sockets and

mounting frame. This technology will be conducted at Altatierra, Tiguma, Pagadian City.

The researchers used an ammeter to measure the voltage of the technology they were

going to build. An ammeter is a device that measures the current flowing through a circuit.

They are able to determine the amount of electricity produced by the technology with the use

of an ammeter. Conversely, it is reliant upon the level of pressure exerted on the technology.

Two (2) people of various weights will test the voltage. To guarantee the effectiveness and

dependability of the apparatus, each participant will go through three (3) trials in which they

step the technology along the pressure that the researchers manipulate.

The T-test was utilized as a deductive statistical technique to ascertain whether there

is a significant distinction between the electricity generated by the experimental and control

groups. Manual computations were utilized to determine the principal conclusions. The mean,

df, t-computed value, t-tabular value, standard deviation, choice, and interpretation regarding

the electricity generated by different participants.
