    Dear Parents,

    Greetings from DLF Public School—A Thinking School With a


    Soul!

    Learning is a continuous process. We, at DLF Public School, believe in giving our learners
    opportunities to experience life beyond the classroom. Excursions provide children with first
    hand experiences as they observe social systems, collaborate with one another, take on
    different leadership roles, learn to self- organize and be independent and communicate with
    one another and people around them in a social environment. Thus, to meet our learners’
    natural inclination to know more about things, and to put the learning in real world context,
    the school keeps on organizing field trips and excursions.

    One such upcoming opportunity that you must avail of is the educational trip for the Delfites
    of class X on November 29, 2022 & November 30, 2022 to Golden Temple, Wagha
    Border and Jallianwalla Bagh, Amritsar Punjab by Shatabdi EXPRESS. It is a
    wonderful opportunity as it will engage learners in learning by exploring the remains of the
    history from Amritsar. It’s an integrated approach towards enhancement of history, life skills
    and career education.

    Tour Program

    29th Nov. (Tue) : Assemble New Delhi Railway Station at 6.30 a.m. and board Swarna
    Shatabdi Express at 7.20 a.m. Breakfast on board. Arrival at Amritsar at 1.15 p.m. Transfer to
    Hotel by bus and check-in Hotel. After Lunch visit Wagah Border, famous for its “Retreat”
    ceremony at the time of sunset. Thereafter, visit Golden Temple to have darshan of Guru
    Granth Sahib and Pavitra Sarovar. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

    30th Nov. (Wed) : After breakfast visit Historical Place Jallianwala Bagh and Partition
    museum. Lunch at Hotel. Thereafter transfer to Amritsar Railway Station at 3.45 p.m. to
    board Swarna Shatabdi Express. Dinner on board. Arrive New Delhi Railway Station at 10.30
    p.m.

    Cost: Rs. 6500/- per student. The cost includes: A/C Chair Car Train fare Delhi-Amritsar-
    Delhi by Shatabdi Express, Transfers and Sight-Seeing by deluxe Bus at Amritsar, one night
    sharing accommodation in 3 Star Hotel, 2 days breakfast, lunch & dinner as per itinerary.

    For advance train ticket and hotel booking you are advised to send the consent slip along with
    money to the class Teacher on or before Oct31, 2022 for smooth and comfortable
    journey. The participation for the tour will be entirely on first-cum-first serve basis. The
    detailed itinerary will be given to the concerned students and teachers after the train
    reservations.

    Kindly submit the money to the respective mother teacher.
