SOLAR ELECTRICITY PROPOSAL
When sunlight hits the photovoltaic (PV) tiles in your Solar Roof, it is absorbed by solar
cells, creating a flow of electric current. This direct current (DC) energy is then sent to
your solar inverter, which converts it to the alternating current (AC) energy that can
power your home.

system.
• Bill-calculation is done in accordance with the net amount of electricity consumed by the customers and
the energy produced by the Solar PV system.
• If the electricity produced has exceeded the electricity consumption, the balance amount is brought forward to
the future usage as a credit amount for a guaranteed period of 20 years. Nomoney will be paid for the excess
electricity.
• Existing net metering customers can switch to other schemes, but, if they wish to sign a new such agreement,
the electricity units accumulated prior to signing the new agreement shall not be carried forward.

table given below:
Project Payment per unit or
period kWh
1 to 20 years Rs 37
If the consumer’s electricity consumption is greater than the PV Solar System’s electricity generation, the
consumer will have to pay only for the amount of energy consumed exceeding that energy generation
according to the existing electricity tariff structure.
c. Net-Plus
• The total electricity generated from the PV Solar Roof top system will be purchased for a period of twenty years.
• The total electricity consumption (Bill) by the consumer will have to be paid as usual according to the existing
