Introduction:
Course Content:
1. Functional Architecture:
The course will begin with an introduction to the functional architecture of automotive
electronics. The students will learn about the various functions of automotive electronics and
their relationship with other systems in a vehicle.
2. Physical Architecture:
The course will cover the physical architecture of automotive electronics. The students will learn
about the different components of automotive electronics and their physical arrangement in a
vehicle.
3. Logical Architecture:
The students will learn about the logical architecture of automotive electronics. They will learn
about the software and hardware components of automotive electronics and their logical
arrangement in a vehicle.
4. Engine Sensors:
The course will cover the different types of sensors used in engine management systems, such
as temperature sensors, oxygen sensors, and mass airflow sensors.

5. ABS/ESP Sensors:
The course will cover the different types of sensors used in the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)
and Electronic Stability Program (ESP), such as wheel speed sensors, yaw sensors, and steering

The course will cover the Controller Area Network (CAN) communication used in automotive
electronics. The students will learn about the CAN 2.0B protocol, CAN FD, CAN controller, CAN
transceivers, and CAN BUS physical connections.
The course will cover the Electrical and Electronic (E&E) architecture of Volvo Actuators. The
students will learn about the different components used in Volvo Actuators, such as the Body
Electrical Module (BEM), Engine Control Module (ECM), and Transmission Control Module
(TCM).
The course will cover the In-Vehicle Networking used in automotive electronics. The students
will learn about the ECU connections in a vehicle, high-speed/low-speed buses, Gateway ECU,
and distributed functions in various ECUs.
The course will cover the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) diagnostics used in automotive
electronics. The students will learn about the different standards used in ECU diagnostics, such
as the Keyword Protocol 2000 (KWP2k) standards, KWP2k over CAN, and Unified Diagnostic
Services (UDS).
The course will cover the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) flashing used in automotive electronics.
The students will learn about the different types of flashing algorithms, such as the Hex and

Motorola files. They will also learn about the Firmware Over The Air (FOTA) update process used
in automotive electronics.
Once the candidates are shortlisted, they will undergo an intensive training program that
will last for 8 to 12 weeks. The training program will cover various aspects of vehicle
embedded electronics, including electronic systems and components, programming
languages and tools, safety and performance standards, and hands-on experience working
with actual electronic systems and components.
During the training program, the candidates will be assessed on their knowledge and skills,
and they will receive feedback and support to help them improve their performance. After

the training program, the candidates will be ready to be deployed to the onsite client
location.
Deployment:
Once the training is completed, Harita will onboard the 2023/2024 passing out candidates
and deploy them to the onsite client location. The deployment process will involve
coordinating with the client and ensuring that the candidates are properly integrated into
their teams and roles.
Harita will provide ongoing support and guidance to the candidates, including performance
evaluations, feedback, and training as needed. This will ensure that the candidates are able
to perform their roles effectively and contribute to the success of the client's projects.
Interview Procedure:
Topics Covered:
• Basic Electrical and Electronics: This section will cover topics like basic
electronic components, circuits, and devices, electrical and electronic
measurements, and basic digital electronics.
• Logical Reasoning: This section will evaluate the candidate's ability to reason
and think logically. It may include questions related to patterns, sequences,
analogies, and deductive reasoning.
• Verbal Ability: This section will test the candidate's language skills, including
reading comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary.

Passing Score: Candidates need to score 30 and above to pass the aptitude test.
