The P91 steel plate was supplied in cast and forged (C&F)
condition by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) as a
plate of thickness 20 mm and width 200 mm. The chemical
composition of C&F P91 steel was analyzed using Optical
Emission Spectrometer (Make: Metavision, model: 1008i) in
the laboratory. The chemical composition and mechanical
properties of P91 plate in as-received condition are shown in
Table 1, Table 2. For the welding purpose, plate of dimension
150 × 90 × 18 mm was machined from the…

…Generally, the one source of hydrogen is from the welding
consumables and environment, which are trapped in the weld pool
[30,31]. However, this part of hydrogen can be reduced by
optimizing the welding process and post-weld heat treatment [34].
Therefore, the main source of hydrogen is service environments.…

…This work also evaluates the influence of heat treatment on
microstructure, mechanical properties, and fracture behaviour of a
Cr-Mo steel weld-built wall created by WAAM using robotic CMT
technology. Weldments generally have a non-equilibrium
microstructure due to rapid heating and cooling during the weld
thermal cycle and may also be led to a reduction in the strength of
weld metal when compared to that of base metal [19]. This
necessitates a vigorous microstructure analysis of the WAAM
welded wall.…
