"Mr. Potter," Professor McGonagall speaks with precice certinity to her voice.
"Hmm, what was that, Professor," Harry asks quizically after his dazed spell was broken.
"See me after class, Mr. Potter."
"Hahaha, look at precious Potter now," Malfoy sneers to the group of Slytherins sitting
nearest to him. They all look at him with a sort of disgust that before the War would have
stunned everyone, but now it wasn't uncommon at all for Malfoy to get looks like that. After
everything that had happened not many people wanted to risk their social standing on being
kind to the blonde boy who everyone knew was on the wrong side of the war.
"Mr. Malfoy, you can see me after class as well."
"Ugh," Malfoy groans dramatically as if it wasn't his own doing that led to this.
The rest of the class hour passes slowly as Harry struggles to pay attention to what's
happening in the class around him. All he wants to do is get out to the Quidditch Pitch to ride
around on his broom for a couple of hours before Hermione finally calls him down to come
eat dinner and complete his homework. Although, no matter how much he tries he can't seem
to do it without getting distracted. It's been causing some problems as he has been falling
behind. The list of missing work he has to do only makes him more and more anxious
everytime that he looks at it.
Finally, the class is dismissed and Harry stands up to leave, but then stops realizing that he
still has to speak to McGonagall.
"Hello, Professor," Harry says, trudging up to the woman's desk hoping that this whole ordeal
will be ended swiftly.
"Hello, Mr. Potter. Mr. Malfoy come here as well."
"Yes," Draco speaks wishing that the professor had forgotten about him so that he could slip
out of the door and into his dorm without being bothered with this.
"Mr. Potter, you have been falling behind in your classes this year, am I correct?"
Harry sputters out a few uninteligable words not wanting to admit that yes, he was in fact
behind in his classes. Very behnd.
"And Mr. Malfoy, you have been doing very well recently, have you not?"
Draco seems to grow a little under the praise,"Yes, I have been."
"Great, then it's settled."
"What's settled," Harry questions nervously.
"Mr. Malfoy will be tutoring you in all of your subjects until the unseen future. I don't want
to hear any complaints from either of you. This is what you will both have to endure due to
your lack of responsibility. Also, I think this is a wonderful time to teach both of you boys a
lesson. That being, you will both have to spend a lot of time in the future working with
people that you don't like, and no matter the circumstances, sometimes you just have to figure
it out. Now, that everything is settled I would like you to be working together at least four
times every week, no ifs, ands, or buts. Wonderfful, now you both have other things to be
doing, so if you would please carry on about your days!"
Both of the boys stalk out of the classroom with similar exasperated looks about them.
"So...," Harry speaks slowly and nervously,"when do you want to meet to get started on this?"
"Let's get one thing straight, Potter," Draco sneers out coming to an abrupt stop in the middle
of the hall (that was thankfully empty),"I am only doing this because I am being forced to
help your sorry arse. I would not be here otherwise. I'd rather be mauled to death by an
number of animals than to ever help you by my own free will."
"I am well aware, Malfoy," Harry sighs out.
"Good. Now that that is settled, you will meet me in the library at promptly 7 P.M. Right after
dinner concludes. If you are a second late I will go report to McGonagall that you aren't
abiding by the terms that we set and I will be unable to continue helping you. Are we clear,
Potter?"
"Crystal," Harry mutters as he hurries away in the direction of the Gryffindor house.
Harry arrived mear moments later and rushed over to Hermione and Ron who were sitting at
a table in the common room. Hermione was studying with her nose burried in a book and
Ron was simply toying around with a quill that he was supposed to be using to write his
Defense Against the Dark Arts paper that was due on Monday.
Ron looked up and noticed his friends anxious manner.
"What's up with you," Ron questioned. At that Hermione glanced up from her book for a
moment and noticed the expresion on his face.
"McGonagall is making Malfoy tutor me in all my subjects," Harry sqeaked out quickly.
"Blimey, Harry. What are you going to do," Ron asks.
"I don't know. It's not like I have a choice. It's not like he has a choice."
"When does this begin," Hermione says.
"Tonight in the library at 7."
"For how long?"
"McGonagall said 'until the unseen future,' so I'm not so sure."
"Everything will be okay, Harry," Hermione reassures.
"Yeah, hopefully."
"Everything will be bearable," Hermione tries again hoping for a more positive outlook.
"Yeah."
Hopefully.
End Notes

Hi, my lovely readers!

It's been a while since I have written last, but I plan for this to have weekly updates in the
near future. For anyone new to anything that I have written I go by any pronouns and I go by
Lilac. I don't accept any hate and will block anything of the sort. Friendly advice or
constructive critisim is completely different. I will be updating this story every Saturday and
possibly more throughout the week if I have time. Anyways, I hope you all have a wonderful
week. Remember to drink water!

Sincerely, Lilac
