Hands on experience or work simulation which the Grade 11 and 12 students
will undergo to expose them to the actual workplace setting and to enrich the
competencies provided by the school under the supervision of the School Head
and the designated personnel of the Partner.
A. RATIONALE
One of the goals of K-to-12 program which aims to develop the
learners’ competencies, work ethics, and values through the augmentation
of education with the world of work experiences, aside from being a
mandatory subject for graduation, the Work Immersion program is a key
feature of the SHS Curriculum; and can be conducted in different ways
relative to the purposes and needs of the learners.
A. RATIONALE
This subject will provide learners with the following opportunities;

1. to become familiar with the workplace;

2.for employment simulation; and
3. to apply their competencies in areas of specialization/applied subjects
inauthentic work environment.
A. RATIONALE

To achieve those objectives, Work Immersion is therefore a requirement

for graduation from secondary education. Learners are immersed on actual
work environments such as workshops, offices and laboratories in which their
prior training is relevant. But this is given clarification on
DepEd Order No. 39, s. 2018.

Imagine you are an employer of a company. there are two

applicants left after previous screenings but you need only one to
fill in the vacant position. Whom are you going to choose? Is it the
applicant with very good credentials besides being an honor
graduate, but during the interview, he appears to be arrogant as
seen on his ways or actions; or is it the other applicant who is just
an ordinary graduate but seems to be humble and sincere as what
is projected in the interview?

Most of the time many choose the second applicant. He

may not be academically good as the other applicant but
the way he answers during the interview revealed his
character; the interviewer considers much the attitude.
