RATIONALE
The 1st I-RODEO 2024 Conference has a theme: "Bridging Horizons: Integrating
Knowledge for Sustainable Futures," which is aligned with the college's mission to
forge enduring partnerships with local and international institutions. Rooted in academic,
research, production, and community-based extension, this conference aims to unite
scholars, researchers, and experts from diverse disciplines. Its goal is to foster
collaboration, exchange knowledge, and address global challenges through innovative
and interdisciplinary approaches.
IRODEO 2024 stands as a beacon for progress in research spanning multiple fields. The
conference is designed to highlight original and creative approaches, methodologies, and
discoveries contributing to the advancement of targeted areas of study. By encompassing
various disciplines and attracting participants from around the world, the conference's
primary objective is to showcase, deliberate, and disseminate knowledge that transcends
disciplinary boundaries. This inclusive approach seeks to establish connections among
diverse groups of scholars, promote collaboration among researchers, and facilitate the
dissemination of recently uncovered knowledge and exemplary practices. Through the
integration of gender and development components, the conference aims to contribute
not only to academic discourse but also to the broader socio-cultural and regional
development context, embodying a holistic and impactful initiative.
CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES
1. Showcase cutting-edge research across multiple disciplines.
2. Provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and methodologies.
3. Encourage discussions on emerging trends and challenges in different fields.
4. Facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration and networking among researchers.
5. Foster the development of collaborative research initiatives.
KEY CONCEPTS
Interdisciplinary Synergy
Encouraging participants to explore collaborative efforts that transcend traditional
disciplinary boundaries, fostering the emergence of new ideas and solutions.
Global Perspectives
Recognizing the importance of diverse perspectives and experiences in addressing global
challenges and promoting inclusivity in research and extension activities.
Future-Ready Solutions
Encouraging the development of research outcomes and extension initiatives that are
forward-looking, adaptable, and contribute to the long-term well-being of society.
Application in Tracks
The theme can be applied across the various conference tracks, encouraging presenters
to incorporate the principles of bridging horizons and integrating knowledge in their
research and extension work. Each track can explore how their specific area contributes
to building a sustainable future through collaboration and innovation.
Visual Representation
Consider incorporating imagery that symbolizes connectivity, collaboration, and
sustainability. An image of a bridge connecting diverse landscapes or elements
representing various disciplines coming together could visually reinforce the theme.
Impact
The theme "Bridging Horizons: Integrating Knowledge for Sustainable Futures" aims to
inspire participants to think beyond the boundaries of their disciplines, fostering a
collaborative and forward-thinking mindset. This theme aligns well with the goals of the
1st International Research Opportunities, Developments, and Emerging Outcomes
(IRODEO) 2024 conference, creating a platform for meaningful discussions, knowledge
exchange, and the development of innovative solutions for a sustainable future.
