At the end of this activity, the FS student must be able to achieve the following intended learning outcomes:
1. identify the strategies used by the teacher that promotes numeracy skills, literacy skills, higher order thinking
skill;
2. take an account on various strategies employed by the teacher; and
3. observe and categorize classroom communication strategies employed by the teacher that support learners’
maximum involvement and greater accomplishment.
LEARNING OVERVIEW:
Activity 1. focus on the pedagogical content knowledge that recognizes the importance of teachers’
mastery of content knowledge and its interconnectedness within and across curriculum areas, coupled with a
sound and critical understanding of the application of theories and principles of teaching and learning. This
activity further encompasses teachers’ ability to apply developmentally appropriate and meaningful pedagogy
grounded on content knowledge and pedagogy. It takes into account teachers’ proficiency in Mother Tongue,
Filipino and English in the teaching and learning process, as well as needed skills in the use of communication
strategies, teaching strategies, and technologies to promote high-quality learning outcomes.

There are no other principles that the teacher does not apply.
Ms. Christel engages students in problem solving and critical thinking by presenting
scenarios that require them to consider potential solutions. This strategy encourages
students to actively investigate how to address real-world issues, so creating a link
between their learning and the world around them. Formal evaluations enable students to
express their thoughts and exhibit their talents, making the learning experience more
engaging and meaningful. This not only encourages active participation, but also shows
how students may contribute to and remain connected to an ever-changing world.
To improve and strengthen critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, teachers must
give homework. Assignments encourage engagement in the topic matter. Students who
actively participate in their study are more likely to retain information and get a better
understanding of the subject. By assigning homework, the teacher allowed students to
practice and enhance their information literacy skills. Completing homework projects
required students to find relevant material, evaluate its trustworthiness, and successfully
use it in their interactions, all of which contributed to information literacy.

4. What communication skills were utilized by the teacher during the teaching-learning process?
In the classroom, the instructor conveyed complicated issues by giving succinct and plain
explanations that were suited for the students' comprehension levels. This strategy not
only allowed for a more thorough comprehension of the material, but it also laid the
groundwork for effective learning. Furthermore, the instructor actively supported an
engaging and inclusive learning environment by actively listening to students' questions
and thoughts. This demonstrated respect for their contributions, creating an environment
in which students were valued and encouraged to actively participate in the teaching
process. Furthermore, fostering student interaction was an important aspect of the
teaching method, since the teacher actively gave opportunities for questions, comments,
and discussions. This participative and collaborative atmosphere improved the learning
experience and encouraged students to take responsibility.
5. Describe how the learners respond to the communication strategies of the teacher.
This is how kids react to teachers that use active listening. When students feel seen and
valued, they are more inclined to engage in class discussions and express their opinions.
When students are posed fascinating questions, they usually respond positively, engaging
in critical thinking and collaborative investigation of concepts. Feedback is also vital in
helping learners refine their replies. Positive and constructive criticism can motivate
students, promoting active participation and growth. This confirmed that the
communication strategies I utilized were effective.

Directions: Identify the strategy/technique used by the teacher throughout the learning process. Write
or attach proof/s below the column of either inductive method of teaching or deductive
method of teaching.
Procedure Strategies/Techniques
5
Motivation Inductive method. The teacher presents many circumstances, and
each pupil choose the emojis required to react. It provides
students with a fun and exciting way to strengthen their
nonverbal communication skills, which are necessary for
productive relationships in a range of personal and professional
settings.
Presentation of the lesson Deductive method. The teacher urges students to read the topic,
meaning that knowledge should be presented before particular
scenarios or specifics.
Development of the lesson Inductive method. The teacher breaks down complex subjects
into smaller chunks through hands-on conversations. Recognizing
the complexities of the fundamental topics, this method aims to
increase students' knowledge by encouraging active participation
and interaction with the subject matter.
Assessment/evaluation
Combination. The teacher conducted an exercise (Paint Me a
Picture) to test students' comprehension of the concepts covered.
The instructor developed a rubric to evaluate and assess pupils'
grasp of the lesson in an innovative and engaging manner.
Agreement/Assignment The instructor advised that the students study up on and grasp the
topic that had been presented as a review, since she would
administer a quiz the next day to see whether the students had
understood the lesson.

Analyze 6
Are the learning principles applied by the teacher appropriate with the nature of the learners and learning conditions?
Why or why not?
Indeed, the teacher's learning concepts are well-suited to the temperament of Grade 7 students, who
are naturally curious. Recognizing this intrinsic desire, she employs inquiry-based tactics in her
teaching method. This strategy capitalizes on students' innate curiosity, encouraging them to dig
deeper and challenge concepts, leading in a better comprehension of the subject matter. This
technique works because it engages students while also strengthening their critical thinking skills.
The utilization of varied materials and multimedia not only attracts students' attention, but also
accommodates to various learning styles, resulting in a more inclusive and engaging teaching
environment.
Did you observe passive learners? If yes, what might be their reasons why they are passive/silent?
Yes, I noticed instances of inactivity among several kids. One significant aspect appears to be a lack
of confidence. Some students are dubious about their expertise and are hesitant to participate in
class discussions for fear of making errors or being criticized by their classmates. Shyness is
another consideration; some students are inherently apprehensive, making it difficult for them to
fully participate in classroom activities. Addressing these issues through supportive techniques and
creating a positive learning environment may encourage more active engagement from these young
students.
Are the communication strategies used by the teacher appropriate to the level of the learners? Justify your answer.
Yes, I observed instances of inactivity among numerous children. One major factor appears to be a
lack of confidence. Some students are unsure of their knowledge and are unwilling to participate in
class discussions for fear of making mistakes or being judged by their peers. Shyness is another
concern; some kids are naturally nervous, making it difficult for them to fully participate in class
activities. Addressing these challenges with supporting strategies and providing a good learning
environment may lead to more active participation from these young kids.

4 If you are the teacher, what possible learning principle(s) and strategy(ies) would you apply to elicit meaningful 7
learning?
One principle that leaps out to me is inquiry-based learning. Its efficacy, even among Grade 7
pupils, has been genuinely astonishing. This technique encourages students to actively discover
ways to solve real-world issues, therefore connecting their learning to the world around them.
Seeking answers on their own not only broadens their understanding of the subject, but also fosters
a sense of curiosity and love for learning. It encourages pupils to actively participate in their
education, instilling a lifelong passion of learning.
Reflect
1. Among the principles of learning, which one is the most important for you? Substantiate your answer.
Relevance. This notion stresses that learning is most successful when it is applied to real-
world scenarios. When what I'm learning is meaningful and relevant to my experiences,
interests, and the world around me, the learning process becomes more engaging,
purposeful, and long-lasting. In essence, the notion of relevance guides my education,
ensuring that what I study is not just academically beneficial but also personally relevant and
pertinent to my life. This relationship enhances my learning experience and prepares me for
a future in which I may use my knowledge in real situations.
2. What insight did you learn from the class activities that you have observed?
The lesson I've learned is that choosing proper teaching and learning methods is critical, and
it takes careful attention to ensure they correspond with the requirements and characteristics
of the kids you're teaching. Effective teaching acknowledges the diversity of learners and
designs instructional strategies to accommodate their various modes of learning and
processing information. Educators may create an engaging learning environment by
selecting the appropriate teaching and learning styles that fit varied preferences, stages of
learning, and talents. This strategy not only improves the efficacy of the educational
experience, but it also fosters a happy and supportive environment in which all students may
grow and achieve their full potential.
