I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson the pupils should be able to:
1. Identify the basic needs of humans, plants, and animals such as air, food,
water and shelter.
2. Demonstrate understanding of the importance of the basic needs to
humans, plants, and animals.
3. Construct and differentiate ways of how do humans, plants, and animals
get their basic needs such as air, food and water.
Science Concepts:
1. Humans, plants and Animals are all living things.
2. All living things have their own basic needs to survive.
3. Humans, plants, and animals have common basic needs such as
air, food and water.
4. Every living thing has a unique way of getting the basic needs for
survival.

III. PROCEDURE
A. REVIEW:
Listen to the sentence. Show thumbs upp if the sentence tells correct on
heredity from parents, animals and plants and thumbs down if not
correct.
1. Ang heredity ay ang pagpasa sa anak ng mga katangian na namamana
sa magulang o pinagmulan.
A. ENGAGE
Group Acitivity- SOLVE THE PUZZLE ( 3mins)
Pupils will be divided into 3 groups each group will be given a puzzle to
solve.
Tell something about the puzzle. ( The leader will say something about the
puzzle they have from the group)
B. EXPLORE
C. EXPLAIN
Group activity: (Pupils will be grouped into 3)
Group leader will explain to the class the basic needs of the living things assigned to the
group.
D. ELABORATE
Humans, plants and animals are all living things. They have common basic needs such
as air, food and water. Every living thing has a unique way of getting the basic needs for
survival.
E. EVALUATE
II. Basahing Mabuti ang bawat pangungusap. Iguhit ang kung tama ang
pangungusap at kung mali.
IV. ASSIGNMENT
Make an observation in your surroundings of how the basic needs
provide help to humans, plants and animals. After that make a poster
showing your observations.
