Resolution
We discover that deep inside, Jing Mei did
have some pride in her piano-when Jing
Mei's mother tells her that the piano is hers,
and she should take it. In the resolution, we
come to the present time and Jing Mei's
mother has recently passed. She has the
piano tuned, and sits down to play.

“The moral of "Two Kinds" has to do
with the need for effective
communication between parents and
children. When this communication
is lacking, it can disrupt the
relationship in the short and long
term and cause long-lasting
emotional trauma for both parties.”
