UNIT 5 – LESSON 1
I. OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to achieve the following objectives:
1. Specific competence:
- Vocabulary: Remember the name of the letter E and its sound, the names of food (egg), an animal
(elephant) and understand their meanings.
Skills:
- Listening: Recognize the name of letter E and its sound, names of the food (egg) and animal
(elephant)
- Reading: Comprehend or translate two words beginning with letter E (egg and elephant)
Speaking: Pronounce the sound of letter E correctly as in egg and elephant
2. Forming competence:
-Self-study: Students can perform individual tasks and solve problems by themselves.
-Co-operation: Students are ready to help friends in pair work/ group work.
-Communication: Students are confident in communicating with their friends/teachers.
3. Qualities:
- Be confident to pronounce the sound /e/ and say the letter E, the words egg and elephant.
Be motivated to communicate with others using what they have learnt.

- Have the class pay attention to three paper
egg shapes in your hands and ask: How
many eggs?

egg. Two eggs. Three eggs. (Use your

fingers as cues).
- Pass the egg shapes to a student. He/ She
must choose a number of eggs, hold them
up, then asks How many eggs? The rest of
the class must call out the number assigned

complete the sentence with their own information.

- Give pupils time to write their answers.

I. OBJECTIVES:
