Essays On Change
Writing an essay on the topic of change is inherently challenging due to the vastness and complexity
of the subject matter. Change permeates every aspect of human life, from individual growth and
development to societal transformations on a global scale. Attempting to encapsulate the myriad
facets of change within the confines of an essay requires careful consideration and organization.
Firstly, defining the scope of the essay becomes a daunting task. Change manifests in various forms:
social, political, technological, environmental, personal, and more. Each of these dimensions presents
its own set of dynamics, implications, and challenges. Narrowing down the focus while still
capturing the essence of change in its entirety demands a deep understanding of the chosen angle and
its broader implications.
Moreover, grappling with the uncertainty and unpredictability inherent in processes of change adds
another layer of difficulty. Change is often characterized by ambiguity, resistance, and unforeseen
consequences. Acknowledging these complexities without succumbing to oversimplification or
fatalism requires intellectual rigor and humility.
Crafting an essay on change also entails grappling with the ethical and moral dimensions inherent in
transformative processes. Questions of power, privilege, and justice inevitably arise when discussing
who drives change, who benefits from it, and who is left behind. Navigating these ethical quandaries
with sensitivity and nuance demands a careful balancing act between academic objectivity and moral
engagement.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of change is a formidable endeavor that requires
grappling with its multifaceted nature, diverse perspectives, inherent uncertainties, and ethical
implications. It calls for rigorous research, critical thinking, empathetic understanding, and ethical
reflection. Only by delving deep into these complexities can one hope to offer meaningful insights
into the dynamics of change and its impact on individuals and societies alike.

Themes Of The Princess Bride And Diablo 3 And Billy Budd
In literature, there are many written works which have themes that intermix with one
another. While literature contains many themes, this does not mean that other works do
not contain the same ideas as presented in written works. In the three stories of The
Princess Bride , Diablo 3 and Billy Budd Violence and Quests can be seen largely
throughout each tale. Violence, while still having the tradition sense of the word, does
not always mean fighting someone or physical attacks. Violence thematically is the
display of aggressive actions verbally, physically, or even aggression leading to a goal.
The other overarching theme in these stories is that of a Quest. Any self realizing
adventure where the protagonist realizes is considered a quest thematically as well as a
large set goal for as seen within the story. The main themes of The Princess Bride, Diablo
3 and Billy Budd are Quests as well as Violence which show a deep connection on a
thematic level.
In The Princess Bride by William Goldman the story starts both as an explanation of the
story s origin as well as where the story should go. Even in this prolog to the story a
quest is outlined. And I realized that I had let control of it go. . . They could change
anything they wanted. So I did something of which I am genuinely proud. I bought the
book back from the studio, with my own money (Goldman xxxv). Even before the story
begins a quest was set before the reader. The quest of a man to have the book he loved
Wave Patterns
The Effect Mixing Has on the Wave Patterns of a Song

Abstract The purpose of the experiment was to find the objective difference between an
original song and an acoustic or a remix version of the same song. The expectation was
that the difference lies in the amount of contrast between the highest and lowest
amplitude. Sound waves are created when an object vibrates back and forth and they have
amplitudes, wavelengths, and frequencies. Sixty songs were analyzed in Audacity, a
music program. Using the output, their amplitudes were measured and compared with
other versions having clean audio and the same artist. Most of the data supported the
hypothesis by stating ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The outliers to this was Lips Are Moving, Viva la Vida, Take me to Church, and Ice Ice
Baby. A possible reason for this is differences between recording circumstances. All
artists have different equipment and that impacts the sound quality. Unfortunately, this
is a variable that couldn t have been manipulated due to lack of resources and remains
an issue in the experimental design. The recording of Lips Are Moving especially had
unusably low Greatest Amplitude readings: 0.20, 0.17, and 0.18 cm. This is probably a
flawed recording, not a program error, because all three trials were outliers and the rest
of the songs had different results. Ideally, in future experiments, all the artists should be
brought in to one studio and had them record in the exact same circumstances with the

Analysis Of Katharine Kolcaba s Comfort Theory
Comfort theory was created in the 1990 s by Katharine Kolcaba who was performing
research on the analysis of comfort across many disciplines (Petiprin, 2016). From her
research, she created a theory of nursing based upon three major forms of comfort that
humans need to achieve wellness (Petiprin, 2016). They include: relief, ease and
transcendence. Relief is the feeling obtained by patients as needs are being met
(Petiprin, 2016). Ease is what patients feel when they are relaxed and have the sense of
comfort that their needs have been met and they no longer need to feel anxious
(Petiprin, 2016). Transcendence is the ability for patients to use their sense of comfort to
rise above any struggles and conflicts they may be facing (Petiprin, 2016). Overall,
Kolcaba defines her theory and comfort in general as the immediate state of being
strengthened through having the human needs for relief, ease, and transcendence
addressed in four contexts of experience (physical, psychospiritual, sociocultural, and
environmental) (Kolcaba DiMarco, 2005). By using this theory in a hospital
environment, Kolcaba hoped that comfort levels would be increased for all patients, staff
and visitors and that patient health would improve as a result of this theory
implementation (Boudiab Kolcaba, 2015). In a case study of pediatric patients,... Show

The checklist uses various types of body language and reactions the child gives
towards caregivers to assess the comfort level of the child (Kolcaba DiMarco, 2005).
This is particularly important for use in children who are unable to express their needs
and may not understand what is happening to their body. With standardization, this
checklist could become an important tool for pediatric nurses to use to assess how their
patients are responding to care and if needs are being met
Business Ethics and Law
Business Law Scenario 1: Falsifying a Resume (Ethics and Law Chapter 2) Peter Crist
is almost always correct. The reality is that if someone lies or covers stuff up, most of
the time they will be found out eventually be it in two days or in 20 years. However,
the reality is that some people do lie and cover stuff up in professional and personal
situations and are never exposed. Sometimes this is because they re in a situation
where dishonesty is prized, other times it s because the people around them turn a
blind eye to what they see because they don t want to know the truth. Other times, it s
because the person engaging in the dishonesty is so crafty and so quick that the
trickery and subterfuge is almost inscrutable. However, the fact remains that Crist is
correct. Often people are found out because those who are engaging in the trickery
have so much hubris and so much arrogance that they engage in bolder and bolder
moves, believing that they will never be caught. One example of that from the recent
past is of Bernie Madoff. His crime was a simple Ponzi scheme which grew larger and
larger in size and scale to the point where he couldn t help but be found out. In this case,
the fact that Ms. Jones was found out was somewhat expected: she advanced to such a
position of power within the institution that she was almost one of their public figures,
which meant that her credentials would be under greater scrutiny. The reason that people
falsify their resumes is partly for
Unwritten By Natasha Bedingfield Analysis
I believe that if there were a song to represent my life, Unwritten by Natasha
Bedingfield would be a great choice. It summarizes my beliefs, who I am at this point
in my life and who I aspire to be. The song Unwritten relates to me because the word
unwritten means that there is no documented, set in stone story and/or outcome. This
makes it possible for characters, plots, and endings to change at any given moment.
Meaning it will become written as the journey (my life) progresses. In the lyrics it
states I m just beginning, the pen s in my hand, ending unplanned, Staring at the blank
page before you . This is similar to how I feel because of the fact that I am only 13 and
my entire life (the blank page) is ahead of me ready to be... Show more content on

However, to achieve this I need to let go of any and all worries or inhibitions that
could deprive me of fulfilling and executing my life goals. Feel the rain on your skin,
No one else can feel it for you, Only you can let it in, No one else, no one else, Can
speak the words on your lips is personally extremely motivating because I want to
experience everything for myself. I think that No one else can feel it for you is
relevant to my life because I want to take as many opportunities in life as possible and
should not give them up for anyone. In life I hope that I can be open to new activities,
no matter the price. I think that within this song, the lyrics Drench yourself in words
unspoken, Live your life with arms wide open best describe my philosophy stated in
the previous sentence. Drenching myself in words unspoken , in my opinion, is
surrounding myself with new challenges and possibilities that I ve never tried. Also,
living with arms wide open seems to me like an expression to emphasize embracing
anything and everything that comes along in life, as well as not to be weary or
Concert Report On A Concert

Music Appreciation 120 2D

Dr. Jeff W Reynolds
Last Thursday, I attended the Department of Music Concert Series at the Alys Stephens
Performing Arts Center. I was able to listen to both the Symphony Band, under the
direction of Dr. Cara Morantz as well as the Wind Symphony Band directed by Dr.
Sean Murray. They presented a tremendous performance comprised of pieces by J.B.
Chance, Frank Ticheli, Samuel Hazo as well as a wide variety of other authors. The
event was pleasurable to me, as well as many others in attendance to the concert. By the
looks, colleagues families and teachers came to support the talented musicians on stage
that night!
The concert opened with Fanfare and Flourishes (1995) by James Curnow. The piece
was based on Marc Antoine Charpentier s polyphonic motet, Te Deum . Inspired by a
festive occasion you can hear a large sound of power, incorporating the trumpets
excellent call to action, making this exhilarating work a perfect concert opener for the
evening.
The next piece played was Incantation and Dance (1963) by James Barnes (J.B.) Chance.
I was already familiar with this form of music since I played it at the Music for All
National Concert Band festival with my high school s band. The song starts low, flutes
come in in the low register of their instrument and set the audience up for a mysterious
incantation or magic spell. While the opening starts slow and spookily, and percussion
instruments are incorporated, you re driven by multiple rhythmic patterns which require
much complexity.
Frank Ticheli is a pretty well known American composer of orchestral, choral,
chamber, and concert band works. This night they performed his rendition of slave ship
captains, John Newton s Amazing Grace . After seeing divine grace for all his
wrongdoing, he wrote this, which has come to be a loved spiritual within American
literature. As the woodwinds carry certain parts of the melody, tears began to form. In
the words of Ticheli, he wants to reflect the powerful simplicity of the word and
melody... the harmony, texture, orchestration, and form are inseparable, intertwined so
as to be perceived as a single expressive entity. To conclude the
