This Practice Assessment Task Set 1 Music Language test consists of 12 questions, all of which need to be
answered in the spaces provided.
Students are advised to use pencil NOT pen to complete this Music Language test.
There are a total of 34 marks available. The marks allocated to each question are indicated
beside each individual question title.

Audio material is provided for the aural questions in this Practice Assessment Task Set 1 Music Language
test. Blank manuscript for rough work is included on page 7.

three times. The rhythm of the melody is provided. A two-bar count in will precede each playing.

Write each triad using semibreves in either the treble or the bass clef, or by writing the letter names of the
notes that belong to the triads, including the bass note. For example, the Major triad on C would be - C E G.
You will have three minutes to complete this question.
