Greater Noida The first International Indian Exhibition & Conference on Warehousing, Cold-Storage, Material Handling, Cargo Logistics and Supply Chain industry India Warehousing Show 2011 and India Express Cargo Logistics 2011 was organized by Manch Communications (P) Ltd. at India Expo Centre, Expressway, Near Pari Chowk, Greater Noida from 2123rd April 2011. India Warehousing Conference was concurrently organized which focused on Developing Effective Strategies to Build Profitability in Warehousing and Supply Chain Logistic Operations The conference was well attended by 210 delegates from different industry sectors from throughout India as well as abroad. The representation of industry sectors such as Material Handling, Pre-engineering, AIDC, Industrial doors and flooring amongst others were distributed over 125 companies during the show. Indias First Premier Show on Warehousing, Cold-Storage, Material Handling & Supply Chain Industry: A Success!

Exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Dinesh Rai, Chairperson, Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA), Mr. J. Alexander, Chairman, National Association of Warehousing Corporations of India and Mr. R.K Saboo, Chairman, Express Industry Council of India along with Ms. Kiran Mittal, the organizer of India Warehousing Show. The Exhibition over the course of three days saw about 6700 trade visitors and showcased Technology & Solutions of over 125 exhibitors. The Exhibition & Conference exceeded our exhibitors as well as visitors expectations. The vast visitor profile comprised of Pharma, FMCG, Warehousing & Cold Storage, Automative, Food, Logistics Service Providers, Retail & Cement industry.

Logistics costs in India are about 12-13% of GDP, as against 8.7% in the US, 10% in Europe, 11.37% in Japan and 16-20% in China. The Indian logistics market is expected to grow annually at the rate of 8-10% till 2015. Indias logistics sector attracted investments worth Rs. 23,200 crore in first half of 2008. Mumbai has emerged as the preferred location for the development of logistics parks with an investment of approximately $ 200 million. The development of seven to eight logistics parks are in pipeline on 600 acres around Mumbai. Market share of organised logistics players is also expected to double to approximately 12 percent during the same period. About 110 logistics parks spread over approximately 3,500 acres at an estimated cost of $1 bn are expected to be operational and an estimated 45 mn ft2 of warehousing space with an investment of $ 500 mn is expected to be developed by various logistics companies by 2012.

India Warehousing & Logistics Show 2011 after the success of its maiden show India Warehousing Show 2011 which took place in Greater Noida earlier this year promises to focus on the Warehousing, Logistics and Supply Chain industry of western India.
