sciences, humanities, medicine, engineering, amongst others.

WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM THE PROGRAM?

The program can be of immense benefit to:

1. UG/PG Students
2. Research Scholars and Research Assistants
3. Faculty members and Administrators of various B-Schools, Affiliate and
University Colleges, and Universities
4. Research Consultants
5. Industry Training / HR professionals
6. Members of NGOs/Consultants in development/policy sector
7. Any one who is interested in research and have the zeal to take the
humanity forward

BROAD AREAS WHERE RESEARCH WRITING IS INVOLVED

The program will give you an overview of various aspects of Researching,
including:

1. Research Problem Identification

2. Theme/Topic Analysis
3. Setting the Title of the manuscript
4. Working with various research tools
5. Abstract, Keywords & JEL Classification
6. Literature Review
7. Research Design
8. Data Collection & Analysis
9. Workflow in Research Writing
10. Presenting at conferences
11. Identification of the journal right for your manuscript
12. Identification of fake/predatory journals
13. Understanding the peer review process
14. Steps in the publication process
15. Dealing with manuscript rejections
16. Organizing & Tracking citations
17. Regular updates on Conferences and assistance in collaborative
presentations

WHAT TYPE OF MANUSCRIPTS WILL BE DISCUSSED?

We will discuss research writing that target conference publications, journal
papers, case studies, book chapters, and books.

2
RESEARCH ENGAGEMENT
Lots of discussions and collaboration possibilities are possible with like-minded co-
learners. The program encourages participants to collaborate to write
manuscripts, present them at conferences, and discuss research topics for
mutual benefit.

The mentor will help by providing details, resources, and assistance in ideating,
writing, and presenting at conferences.

MODE OF MENTORSHIP
There will be a mix of presentation-led training sessions, individual activities and
assignments, and group/team-based discussion-oriented activities. Participants
will be facilitated to form teams to work with like-minded fellow participants in
a collaborative environment so that the team can complete at least one
manuscript task by the time the program ends.

HOW WILL THE PROGRAM BE CONDUCTED?

The program will be conducted over Zoom Meeting. Each class will have a new
meeting link that will be shared in the WhatsApp group about 30 minutes before
the start of the event. Only registered participants will be allowed to join the
meeting room.

WHAT IF I MISS A SESSION?

Because the program is a mentorship program, topics of previous sessions will
be dealt with from a different perspective in the subsequent sessions. Hence,
even if you miss one or a few sessions, you can continue with the rest of the
program flow in the next sessions.

3
LEARNING RESOURCES
A comprehensive spiral-bound printed study
material with key slides from the program
presentations will be dispatched to the
participants. This printed book will come in handy
to refer to and to better prepare for the upcoming
classes. New slides that are added to the study
material will be shared in the participant's
WhatsApp group during the batch period. The
study material can be dispatched to an Indian
postal address with the landmark and pin code at
the moment. Participants from outside India
(whose mobile number is a non-+91 number) will
get a softcopy of the study material. The study
material softcopy will not shared with Indian participants as they will receive the
printed book. Non-participants (those not interested in joining the mentorship
program) can purchase the book separately/individually if they wish to do so.

Some researchers know the subject well and can do the research tasks, but they
are inconsistent. Our program and its activities act as a reminder, and your peers
help you remember the tasks you ought to do and deadlines you have to reach.
This way, we remind and help each other to remain on track and be consistent
in our research work.

The program gives you templates to help you track the progress of your
thesis/research work so that you can focus on the areas in which you are
lagging and thereby improve or put in additional effort to stay on the course.
The Excel template files that will be shared in the group will help you with this.
There are different templates for thesis writing, research paper writing, and case
development.

Several eBooks, templates, and details related to various publication

opportunities will be shared with the participants regularly in the registered
member's WhatsApp group.

No recordings of the program will be shared. The participants are expected to

attend the classes in live session mode during the class days. Participants are
expected to be serious and disciplined with research and not take the classes
as a leisurely listening program.

4
EXPECTED PROGRAM OUTCOME
Participants will gain confidence in writing manuscripts better. The program
encourages hands-on and collaborative writing between participants of one
manuscript in the form of a Book Chapter, a Case Study, or a Journal Paper. The
typical target for students is to write one research article/paper/case study and
at least one conference participation every four months. This is apart from
making progress in thesis writing by research scholars. The program helps the
participants better handle reviewer comments for their manuscript submissions.
Because participants come from different subject streams, they will be able to
learn how research is done in multiple streams and help build a multi-disciplinary
approach.

FEE PAYMENT
The fee for the program is Rs. 10,000 or USD 150 for one year (or Rs. 2,500 for one-
quarter if it convinent for you), payable at the beginning of the training
program. Fee can be paid in four monthly equated installments if the
participant wishes to do so.

The fee gives you access to attend classes and participate in group activities
for one year from your payment date. The fee can be paid to UPI / IMPS /
Google Pay / PhonePe / Bhim UPI / PayTM / Amazon Pay. Payment details will
be shared on WhatsApp. After the fee transfer, please WhatsApp the fee
payment screenshot and get confirmation of the receipt. You will be added to
a WhatsApp group where all further updates will be shared.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE AND TOPICS

Unless otherwise mentioned, all classes will be on Wednesdays and start at 8 PM
IST. After the one-hour session, participants can stay back for about one more
hour for an informal discussion on their research activities and set targets for the
next week.

Please check for Art of Case Writing (AOC) classes have a different brochure.
AOC classes are complementary for AOR participants.
