3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
Causes burns. Harmful by inhalation, in contact with skin and if swallowed. May cause sensitisation by skin contact. Harmful to
aquatic organisms, may cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment. The safety and health hazards are detailed
separately for Part A and Part B. The final cured material is considered nonhazardous.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES


Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, administer artificial respiration. Contact physician.
Skin Contact: Flood area with water while removing contaminated clothing. Wash clothing before reuse. Consult
physician.
Eye Contact: Flush eyes for at least 30 minutes with large amounts of water.
Ingestion: If conscious, do not induce vomiting; drink milk, water or vinegar. Contact physician immediately.
Advice to Physician: Treat symptoms.

Methods of Clean Up: Scoop up and transfer to a suitable container for disposal. Flush final traces of spill
with water.

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE


Handling: Avoid all direct contact. Avoid breathing mist or vapor. Utilize exposure controls and personal protection as
specified in Section 8. Remove contaminated clothing immediately. Wash clothing before reuse. Contaminated
leather including shoes cannot be decontaminated and should be discarded.
Storage: Store in cool, dry area.

10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY

11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION


Primary Route of Exposure Under Inhalation, skin and eye contact. Personnel with pre-existing allergies, eczema or skin
Normal Use: conditions may be aggravated by exposure.
Acute Effects: Direct contact will cause burns to skin, eyes and mucous membranes. High vapor
concentrations and mist can cause severe eye and respiratory tract irritation, headache,
dizziness, nausea and possibly shortness of breath.
Chronic Effects: Prolonged or repeated contact may cause asthma, skin sensitization and other allergic
responses. Vapors and mist may cause liver and kidney changes. 4,4’-
Isopropylidenediphenol produced effects on fertility in an animal ingestion study.
Other Information: As per 29 CFR 1910.1200 (Hazard Communication), this product contains no
carcinogens as listed in the National Toxicology Program (NTP), the International
Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) or the Occupational Safety and Health
Administration (OSHA).

12. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION


Ecotoxicological data have not been determined specifically for this product. The information given below is based on a
knowledge of the components and the ecotoxicology of similar substances.
Mobility: Liquid. Slightly soluble in water. In determining environmental mobility, consider the product's physical
and chemical properties (see Section 9). Benzyl Alcohol: expected to have very high mobility in soils.
4,4’-Isopropylidenediphenol: expected to have moderate to low mobility in soil.
Degradability: 3-Aminomethyl-3,5,5-trimethylcyclohexylamine, 4,4’-Isopropylidenediphenol: biodegradable. Benzyl
Alcohol: expected to biodegrade relatively quickly.
Accumulation: Benzyl Alcohol, 4,4’-Isopropylidenediphenol: bioconcentration in aquatic organisms is not expected to
be significant.
Ecotoxicity: 3-Aminomethyl-3,5,5-trimethylcyclohexylamine is harmful to aquatic organisms. May cause long-term
adverse effects in the aquatic environment.

13. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS


Unreacted components are a special waste. Combine resin and curative. The final cured material is considered nonhazardous.
Landfill sealed containers in an approved area. Check local, state and national/federal regulations and comply with the most
stringent requirement.
