1.0 SCOPE
To carry out MECHANICAL CM activities, PPM Activities, Visual inspection, Repair of QU facility
inspection points, Operation, repair, maintenance, Rectification of defects for water coolers, water
filters ,water heaters, pumps, Valves, refrigerators, sanitary equipments,water fountain cooler, storm
drains, sanitary and sewer waste system, fire systems, domestic hot and cold water system, solar system
including the hearts and electrical heaters, Calorifier, solar panels and collectors, pressurize and
expansion vessel tanks, all water system equipment’s including water supplies, domestic hot and cold
water, firefighting water supplies, chilled water, drainages and sewage, circulating water for the
swimming pool pump sets valves, filters, tanks, pipes, air valves and fittings

2. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILTY

inspection etc.

Man-power assistance to workforce in the execution of
Helpers
works as per the steps of work given in MS

3.0 SAFETY REQUIREMENTS


All personnel will have PPE required for their specific tasks in addition to the minimum PPE (coveralls,
safety goggles, safety shoes, hard hat, high-visibility vests, gloves) at site always as required.
All personnel will go through the TDGISERV Safety Induction prior to enter the site.

A Toolbox talk Safety Meeting will be conducted before commencing work.


A risk assessment addresses the hazards associated with each task within the scope of this Method
Statement and introduces the controls that will be implemented to reduce the associated risks to
acceptable levels attach along MS. The Risk Assessment will be used by the Site Supervisor as the basis
of his pre-task meetings and Toolbox Talks.

In the event of an emergency, employees will secure their area and evacuate to the nearest muster point.
Once all employees are evacuated the supervisor will conduct a headcount to verify all employees are
out of danger. The supervisor will report this to Contractor Emergency Contact numbers.
4.0 TOOLS AND EQUIPMENTS

• Basic Mechanical Tools


• Housekeeping tools
• Applicable PPE’s and small safety barriers, warning tapes.
• Multi meter and clamp meter Temperature laser gun, temperature and humidity meter, test
manifold gauge, vacuum pump, megger test, belt tension gauge, pulley alignment.

8.0 STEPS OF WORK

1. Coordinate with the operations / focal point / relevant disciplines.


2. Ensure that PTW is available with valid date.
3. Confirmation with QU will be taken before performing the works on Critical areas.
4. TBT will be conducted regarding the work and hazards related with the work
5. Scaffolding will be erected if required.
6. Area around of work location to be barricaded and warning signages will be
provided.
7. Electrical isolation will be done, and LOTTO will be provided for the unit if
required
8. Visual inspection to be conducted for the following systems and minor repairing
works to be carried as per requirement

8.1 water coolers, water filters, water heaters, pumps, Valves, refrigerators

8.2 All equipment of sanitary and/or plumping system and associated devices

8.3 water fountains cooler, storm drains, sanitary and sewer waste system, domestic
hot and cold water system

8.4 solar system Calorifier, solar panels and collectors

8.5 pressurize and expansion vessel tanks

8.6 Potable water line network system with piping system, concrete water reservoir,
pump sets

8.7 Firefighting water supplies, chilled water, swimming pool water lines

8.8 All pumps, valves, filters, tanks, pipes, air valves, fittings and others

8.9 Hand wash basins, shower basins, toilet bowls and cisterns, and their associated
fittings

8.10 Septic vaults/holding tanks, Siphoning and cleaning of effluents

8.11 Rainwater discharged drainage network, manholes, gullies and soak away pits

9. After completion of job do proper house keeping and ensure area is clean and
removed all dust, tools from location

12.Remove barricading, warning tapes from location

13.Submit all required reports to client for review and records.
