    Installation of the Control Configurator FM

    You can use the Control Configurator FM only with FPWIN Pro version 5.3 or higher. Possible
    PLC types are FP-Sigma, FP2 or FP2SH.
    Before installing Control FPWIN Pro, check whether your PC meets the following requirements:
    • Pentium processor or compatible
    • 128 MB RAM or more
    • CD-ROM drive
    • Hard disk with at least 100 MB free disk space
    • VGA monitor or compatible monitor
    • Mouse
    • Serial COM interface to connect your PLC
    Furthermore, Windows 95, 98, NT V4.0, 2000, ME, XP or Vista should be in place before you
    start installing FPWIN Pro.

    NOTES

    • To install under Windows 2000, XP or Vista, you need administrator rights on


    your computer.
    • We assume that you are an experienced user of Microsoft Windows.

    Installation of the Control Configurator FM

    1. Exit FPWIN Pro, if the software is running


    2. Insert the CD of the Control Configurator FM into the CD-ROM drive
    If the setup does not start automatically, select the file
    SetupControlConfiguratorFM1.exe of the installation CD, e.g. via the Start menu
    command "Run". In this example, "D" is assigned to the CD-ROM drive.
    3. Select a language
    4. Choose "Install software"
    Carefully read the information displayed on the screen and follow the instructions.
    5. Start FPWIN Pro
    6. Select one of the following PLC types: FP-Sigma, FP2 or FP2SH
    In the navigator the entry "Fieldbus Master Unit" is displayed.

    7. Double-click "Fieldbus Master Unit" in the project navigator


    Before you can use the configurator, the default device catalog needs to be
    reloaded automatically.
    8. Select "Unblock" if a security warning from the Windows firewall is
    displayed
    The configurator is ready to use.
